aeg is electrical while gbb is mechanical.

Most gbbr are also louder than aeg.

Gbbr can still work even in the rain.

Due to the residue left behind from gas, you'd have to clean the gun more often than aeg.

No motor winding which for some, would ruin immersion.

Disassembly is way easier also, no gearbox to work with so you don't have to deal with anti reversal latch or putting in a high powered spring

At least on AKs, the pistol grip isn't huge, you can actually use real steel ak pistol grip unlike on AEG where you'd have to deal with how big the motor is

Aeg and gbbr are not the same @fallen seal,and to say they're both toys is the most smooth brain rebuttal I've seen

They both have pros and cons, usually more cons but some people see them as pros. However, they do not operate the same internally. some people likes simulated recoil without having to deal with electrical issue that is EBB (eletric blow back). Plus EBB are not known for their reliability for their EBB parts. People tend to just go gbbr since replacing mechanical parts are way easier.
