#

I am a vet bro, I was asking him on advice about the piece of equipement, thanks.

#

Yeah its very pricy, but did you found the harness design more stable ?

#

Yep

#

Enfin le 417 etait bien mieux que le FRF2

low fox
low fox
#

depends on how much you're humping

#

stability isn't my first thought if i'm not pushing some serious weight

low fox
#

?

low fox
# low fox ?

if you're talking about the stability of the carrier under heavy loads, it depends entirely on the weight you plan on carrying

#

body type is more of a matter of the plates than the carrier

#

Nah I talk about overall stability when moving, maybe I expressed myself badly, its more like, "is it sticking to you" hence the interest for the harness concept

#

For exemple I find most of carriers have a too wide neck, and that cumberbunds should be higher, and thinking about "how it should be done" I have something like the harness at mind

#

But maybe more breathable youre right

#

that's more of a sizing issue, but it's true that there are poor cummerbund designs out there

#

honestly if my carrier was loose it was usually because it was too big

#

the harness won't make it tighter on you if it's too big

#

But it will if its well sized, i dont plan on buying the wrong size

#

Anyway as usual I wont buy until tried, but I sold mine and was thinking about a replacement

#

the harnesses run a bit big actually

#

That is a good info

#

sizing down on the harness might be a good idea

#

Yup anyway I would always go tiny ^^

#

Thanks for info I will keep roaming the web until finding love :p

compact dagger
#

Fucking finally got answer from the jews in Agilite support

#

sending me a new cummerbund for the plate carrier

naive maple
#

lmfao

#

jannies reeeing as they realize agilite are literally jews and they can't ban you for saying so

coarse laurel
#

I’m about to pull the trigger on the K19 because I saw how comfy it was

compact dagger
coarse laurel
#

What happened

#

Did it break?

compact dagger
#

Cummerbund lock broke

coarse laurel
#

Bruh

compact dagger
#

when I was taking it off the wire while in Germany

coarse laurel
#

I thought they made that shit sturdy

compact dagger
#

Basically left it there so it doesn't take up space under the bed and in front of it, cuz had shitton of gear drying

#

when tried to take it off it broke

#

kinda my bad because didn't put it on the shoulder ones since you can open those up and then just use the velcro strap to hold it

#

probably had it too much sideways when pulling it down

#

also sometimes it's a bitch to open up, idk why, just doesn't open

coarse laurel
#

That worries me now

compact dagger
#

Ignore the work gloves

#

were loading up the container

coarse laurel
#

I was planning to use it as my new carrier for army shit

#

To replace my aging shellback SF

#

Damn yeah that’s a bad break

compact dagger
#

only thing that broke was the lock

#

Today I used Latvian military™️ technique on fixing it

#

that is zipties

coarse laurel
#

Lol

#

Latvian mil?

compact dagger
#

ya

coarse laurel
#

I worked with some of you guys

compact dagger
#

Neat

#

Crystal arrow perhaps ?

coarse laurel
#

We had some Latvian medics in Ft Sam Houston in Texas

#

They were training with us

compact dagger
#

neat

#

I hope I get sent there to "learn" english

#

if i get into comms

#

but yea, i hope the zipties will work well enough for next week

#

just gonna run in the field quie a bit

coarse laurel
#

I can only imagine

#

Well I hope they ship you a replacement asap

compact dagger
#

Said gonna be sent on Sunday

coarse laurel
#

I’d be pissed if my plate carrier crap out on me during the field

compact dagger
#

I just hope customs won't hold it up and ask for papers for that thing

#

like order price and shit

#

so they can scam me out of it

coarse laurel
#

I abused mine in Korea

compact dagger
#

Yea, that's the downside of plastic cummerbunds

#

everyone at work was sceptical about it

#

especially after i told ( and lied ) about the price

#

said it was only 200€

coarse laurel
#

I like the ones with the cobra buckles

compact dagger
#

?

coarse laurel
#

See that buckle

compact dagger
#

yea

coarse laurel
#

That’s hard to break

#

Lol

compact dagger
#

you know what's even harder to break ?

#

Velcro

#

and cloth

coarse laurel
#

True true

compact dagger
#

I just hate that issued rigs are total shit here

#

i just got oversized one and its like just a fucking bag

#

And another downside for Agilite is that the cummerbund likes to twist if you have weight on it

#

hell, even without weight it likes to do that

#

and not always you can adjust it to correct position, especially if you are in a hurry

coarse laurel
#

This is what I use

#

My cable management is a fuckin mess

compact dagger
#

Also I hate that our SOP is that you need 8 mags

#

so you overload your carrier to the max

#

for my Agi carrier I have tripple pouch on front, 1 double left and right and 1 mag goes in the chest pocket of the carrier

#

plus admin pouch on the right

coarse laurel
#

Yeah

compact dagger
#

and had radio and its pouch on the left during AS22

coarse laurel
#

I have 5 on my PC and 1 on my battle belt and 2 in my dangler pouch

#

I’m also a medic so it’s different for me

compact dagger
#

I'm thinking about warbelt but not yet convinced

coarse laurel
#

I love it

compact dagger
#

Well, as just low tier AT guy I barely need anything else besides those mags and admin pouch for small stuff

#

and batteries if i get given a radio

coarse laurel
#

I’m in a armored unit at the moment and I love just taking off my plate carrier and still having my mag and IFAK on my person

#

I can also take it off at will if I need to jump down a hatch of a vehicle

compact dagger
#

Yea, but that's the difference between doctrines, we do our stuff different

#

plus no vics that would allow taking it off while riding somewhere for now

#

until Patrias arrive

coarse laurel
#

As a medic they make me load for an Abrams sometime or sometimes I’m a track commander on a M113A3 APC

#

Or I’m just in a humvee dismounted

#

Really depends

compact dagger
#

bascially only shit we ride are MRZRs or 6wheel ATVs

#

so only time you take your shit off is when you are going to sleep

#

or noone is there to talk smack at you when you are in OP

#

or smth similar

#

And also, when you said about the Agi locks being sturdy

#

one of 2 things happened

#

either defective or i really fucked up on my side

coarse laurel
#

Yeah it puzzled me because agilite has a reputation for being sturdy

compact dagger
#

I do hope it was me

#

because if it was defective it means any other one of the locks could break

left flax
#

can i get some advice

#

any thoughts on ana tac PCs?

#

stuck between buying wartech and ana

#

since my monolith will never arrive cos of wArRr

coarse laurel
#

Please stop getting Russian stuff

left flax
#

coarse laurel
#

That’s all I’m saying

#

They break easy

left flax
#

not from my experience

#

all my russian gear has got me through some things, love it

#

not PCs but all my other ana tac shit etc

coarse laurel
#

@compact dagger

#

The war belt

left flax
#

literally just wanna know if anyone has tried the ana tac PCs before i buy one

compact dagger
#

trying to find pic of my rig that has it in current setup

coarse laurel
#

Simple set up

coarse laurel
#

Like combat? Or just abuse via training

left flax
#

i use my ana stuff for airsoft, hiking, mountain biking, camping, fishing, been getting good use out of their stuff and its never failed me
and ive purposefully been rough with it as well

coarse laurel
#

Ah I c

left flax
#

im talking mainly about their wearable stuff, but just wanna know about their PCs

#

im not a rich man so they are in my range

coarse laurel
#

Ok if it’s for airsoft then yeah

left flax
#

oh sweet

coarse laurel
#

I thought u we’re gonna use it for some real world military stuff, a lot of Russian gear I’ve seen fail irl

#

Only thing sturdy from Russians are weapons

#

In my case I got myself a zenitco perst before the war

#

Thank god

left flax
#

ooooh, i keep forgetting some countries are allowed to use their own gear which is cool. scotland, we get dog shit, or used to

coarse laurel
left flax
#

the 6B47 has been good to me though, very light and comfy for what it is

left flax
#

the only zenitco thing i have is an A1 Slingpoint lol

left flax
#

Ah Latvian? Cool

compact dagger
#

yep

#

so as you can see 2 mags on my left, 3 in middle, other side has admin pouch and 2 more mags

#

and 1 mag is in the middle pocket behind zipper

#

and i'll also use this moment to talk shit about g36

#

it's shit

left flax

Probably better than our service rifle tbf

#

Idk shit about guns but ik ours has a bad history

compact dagger

what gun ?

left flax

L85a1 a2 a3

compact dagger
#

from what I heard A3 is good

#

and from the guys that went to UK for some training, they said they loved the gun

left flax
#

You'd hope so being the 3rd lol

compact dagger
#

compared to ours

left flax
#

I've only held them in airsoft so I can't say much
My stepdad is in the army though and he hates it

compact dagger
#

compared to this shit which tends to jam if a bit of sand gets in

#

and it's so fucking front heavy

#

even without the UBGL and other shit

left flax
#

Ours is back heavy as hell apparently

compact dagger
#

yea cuz the important stuff is behind the trigger

#

still

#

if i had to crawl around i'd rather have yours

#

Like, the AKM that we had to shoot once, even tho, it's the same weight felt a lot better

left flax
#

Fair enough

#

I'd love an ak mannnnn

compact dagger
#

Well you know where to sign up to go and get one

#

just have to desert

left flax
#

wish i could. but i also dont

#

i have 0 combat experience, i would be a liability

#

so instead im donating what i can

compact dagger
#

I'd go because no family (kids/wife) or gf anymore, so nothing to lose

#

plus at least some military experience

#

i'd die, but whatev

left flax
#

it is what it is i suppose

acoustic harbor
compact dagger
#

It does

acoustic harbor
#

Probably better ergonomics

compact dagger
#

Tbh at least initial recoil felt lesser than G36s

acoustic harbor
#

bruh

compact dagger
#

idk why

#

but it was like that

acoustic harbor
#

how fucking shit has to be the recoil system then in a 36

#

like the AKs bolt carrier has a good chunk of the weight

compact dagger
#

idk, it was one time thing, maybe when we shoot it again i'll update you if it is still like that

acoustic harbor
#

why aren't you shooting 74s doe

#

most neighbor countries like belarus, russia and ukraine are all using 5.45

compact dagger
#

Idfk

acoustic harbor
#

so in course of war it would be better to know the feeling and usage of the 74 type AKs, especially AKS 74 and AK 74M

compact dagger
#

they got it in 2006

#

idk what they used before

acoustic harbor
#

who?

compact dagger
#

well new people get to train with AKs every once in a while

#

Latvia

acoustic harbor
#

strange

#

post soviet country and using AKMs in training hmmmm

compact dagger
#

Probably just want to distance ourselves as much as possible from USSR

#

Not using it in training

acoustic harbor
#

for testing, you know what i mean

compact dagger
#

More to familiarize yourself

acoustic harbor
#

ye that

compact dagger
#

AKs are simple af so that's why we barely touch them

#

and i think, if you want to continue this, we should move to weapons chat

otherwise modlets wont be happy

If I remember correctly they aren't even officially NIJ rated, they're just 'rated to NIJ standards'

acoustic harbor

also coatings really are usless the best compromise is either a kevlar cover around the steel plate

#

or a extra layer of kevlar in the armor itself

both upgrades the russians did on the Korund and Bagariy

they are still shitty vests for todays standards but they work

low fox

additional armor on top of the cover was needed to safely stop the remaining frag

which is stupid and pointlessly cumbersome

honest yoke

low fox

spall coatings have been shown not to work past 1 round the majority of the time

honest yoke

but steel is cheaper and easier to produce in higher quantities

low fox

it is literally truck bed liner

honest yoke

low fox

it falls off and completely decouples from the steel after 1 shot

#

and still fails to stop all of the spall

it's entirely useless

honest yoke
#

its a slight improvement, its not perfect but its to at least help

acoustic harbor
low fox
#

no, it isn't a slight improvement

#

it doesnt

#

do

#

anything

#

it stops a little bit of the frag and then falls off the plate entirely

#

after your ribs are shattered of course

honest yoke
#

depends on a lot of factors, round size, energy, angle, etc

#

Id rather have it for even a marginal improvement

low fox
#

except you know

#

it doesn't

acoustic harbor
#

Steel in general is garbage, it could, COULD, save your life but the risk of injury are great

low fox
#

i can't think of any rifle calibers that won't have that effect on the plate

low fox
#

yeah, except it could also kill you

honest yoke
#

If that risk means not catching a round to the chest I would take it

low fox
#

that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard

acoustic harbor
#

also to really "effectively" use steel you NEED extra softarmor, like neck anf groin protectors and a extra layer of kevlar above the plate, as the russians showed us since like 2000, when the 6B12 was first issued

honest yoke
#

usually theres a pad you can get to go behind the plate as well

acoustic harbor
#

though 6B12s didn't habe kevlar over the plate iirc, 6B23s did

low fox
#

yeah, spend more money than you spent on the actual plate to make it safe to use so it doesn't kill you

acoustic harbor
#

funny, russia used primarly steel until the 6B43s first inceptions in 2010 and the 45 in 2014 although they already had 12-1s, 13s and 23-2s that were ceramic

low fox
#

pretty unethical if you ask me

acoustic harbor

It was primarly cost

#

russia is still a 2nd world country posing as a 1st world and world power

low fox
#

of this i am quite aware

acoustic harbor

their latest innovations, especially the fort plates are pretty nice tho

they do be getting the good shit do

#

VDV is also Kontraktniks only iirc

#

VDV is not to be fucked with

#

except you drop them in contested airspace with no ground support wojak_empty

coral pivot
#

I asked that ar500 question earlier. You all realize that's a company and not a type of armor, yeah?

radiant glade
coral pivot
#

Beyond that, steel is the only armor type that will A, take more than one shot and B, not deform a dagger into your chest. Flexible armor (Aramid/Kevlar) will stop heavy pistol rounds and rated for MAYBE two shots. Poly armor will stop most rounds but WILL deform because it does a shit job at transferring energy, just flat out absorbs it into the point. Ceramic/hard plate will shatter if you look at it wrong and will stop ONE round. Steel plate, with an appropriate covering, is the only option to defend against multiple rounds and retain it's shape.

radiant glade
radiant glade
low fox
#

The issue most people have with steal is the surprise circumcision it gives if its hit by a bigger round

radiant glade
honest yoke
#

DEFCAD requires a 50 dollar entrance fee I beleve

radiant glade
#

also the weight tho

radiant glade
low fox
#

I have no need for armor, i just larp at comps and do living history so none of my shit has plates

honest yoke
#

bunch of other "funny items" on their site

radiant glade
#

I got level 3+ spall coated from ar500 and them shits are like 20 pounds a plate and my new ceramic shid is level 4 and weighs 18.4 pounds total

low fox
#

1 of my 3 plate carriers is a White Leather POS i made for a victorian shitpost

radiant glade
#

and the price
AR500 I spent 800 for a whole setup
Carrier, mag pouches, armor, and IFAK

#

at the gunshow I got their $500 setup for 350

#

same setup
actually has more mag pouches

#

has 4 pistol, 7 rifle pouches

low fox
#

i cede this convo to @low fox Cause i dont do armor

honest yoke
#

PSA is wonderful FYI

low fox
#

HA

#

Check irl weap pins

honest yoke
#

Palmetto hasnt given me anything that doesnt work

radiant glade
#

the one from AR500 has 2 double rifle pouches (4 mags total)
2 pistol pouches
and 4 loops for shotgun shells

honest yoke
#

I have done a full teardown

#

then again, I did only get an upper

low fox
radiant glade
#

also the IFAK has the same amount of shit in it but is way smaller of a pouch

#

ight my carrier vent is over but if yall wanna check em out I think it is FT Armory or something

#

lemmie double check

barren kettle
low fox
#

like i actually lose brain cells reading this

#

lost*

#

and i can never get back the time, or the brain cells

barren kettle
#

ive been waiting for you to show up

low fox
#

i just cant BELIEVE what im reading

#

every time i come in here

#

someone says some bookoo re-re ass shit

#

its never just like "this person is slightly misinformed, no biggy, that can be fixed"

#

its just them holding a position that is both wrong, and absolutely idiotic

#

these people are the future of our nation

radiant glade
low fox
#

it is not bright

#

yeah because ceramics crack

#

they don't deform

#

ironically, that's exactly how steel works

radiant glade
#

of course it was probably just regular ol FMJ

low fox
#

metals will do 1 of 2 things when impacted by a high velocity projectile

#

they will either shatter the projectile

#

or deform massively

#

if it shatters the projectile it will transfer most of the energy into your body as it doesn't really have mass, nor materials to disperse the energy along its surface areas

#

just how the properties of metals are

#

if it doesn't shatter the projectile, it deforms immediately

#

and where do you think that metal is gonna go when it deforms because something hit it

#

the answer is into you

radiant glade
#

your chest

coral pivot
#

You have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.

low fox
#

hey buddy

#

what grade did you get in chemistry

#

?

#

or physics for that matter

#

because the properties of matter, and elements

radiant glade
#

pretty good grade in chemistry and i believe you about the metal deforming

low fox
#

is something that is SUPPOSED to be taught

#

in EVERY SCHOOL

#

but apparently

coral pivot
#

Oof. You're really going to push this.

low fox
#

as evidenced by you

#

it isn't

coral pivot
#

Buddy, I sold body armor for years.

low fox
#

ok?

radiant glade
#

did you shoot it too?

low fox
#

i could sell body armor right now

coral pivot
#

Yes,

radiant glade
#

🙂

low fox
#

hell, maybe i will

#

brb, selling my plates

radiant glade
#

lol

low fox
#

believe it or not

radiant glade
#

hops on let go*

low fox
#

selling an object

radiant glade
#

I sell body armor

coral pivot
#

I'm aware that there is fragmentation when shooting steel plates. With a sufficient medium over it, you can mitigate that.

low fox
#

does not increase your knowledge of it!

#

like shit dude

#

if my knowledge increased every time i sold gear or equipment

#

my head would look like fucking megamind right now

coral pivot
#

Yet, it doesn't. Hm.

radiant glade
low fox
#

what an astute observation

coral pivot
#

You clearly must not learn anything about the stuff you sell.

low fox
#

you know what that is?

#

because "selling something" does not make you knowledgeable about it

#

idiot

coral pivot
#

I on the other hand learn everything

#

I can. about it*

low fox
#

yeah i bet you learned all the AR500 affiliate codes

#

and the spartan armor affiliate codes

coral pivot
#

Nope. Didn't sell their products.

low fox
#

and let's not forget about the shotstop affiliate codes

#

LMT write a fucking text block and kami will pin it

radiant glade
#

lol im lovin this

low fox
#

you see mr "i sold armor for years"

#

here's how this works

frozen ridge
#

i sell subway sandwiches

low fox
#

you're an idiot

#

and you're an idiot because no matter what you did or didn't sell

#

PHYSICS DOES NOT CHANGE

#

MATTER DOES NOT CHANGE

#

THEIR PROPERTIES DO NOT CHANGE

radiant glade
coral pivot
#

Oof.

frozen ridge
#

Quantum physics bro. dark matter bro.

low fox
#

people are supposed to learn that in high school

coral pivot
#

"Physics" have changed several times.

low fox
#

oh they do?

#

thats crazy

#

cause last i checked

radiant glade
#

paralelle universes and twin universes my guy

low fox
#

there are laws in science for a reason

frozen ridge
#

well

low fox
#

conincidentally

frozen ridge
#

we kinda made em

coral pivot
#

My guy, physics and our understand of the world have been changing since we discovered them.

low fox
#

yeah, to explain our natural world

radiant glade
#

My boy Manic is on the Physics Most wanted list

frozen ridge
#

lolol

low fox
#

and as our understanding of how the natural world changed

#

so too did the way we defined it

#

it wasn't because the item itself changed

#

it was because we understood it insufficiently

radiant glade
#

with a bounty of 9grillion jewels of energy

frozen ridge
#

wait. waht r u guys arguing about?

coral pivot
#

Are you talking about Newtons "Three laws of motion"?

low fox
#

some idiot who doesn't understand how metallurgy works

#

@low fox Write a pro con about fucking armor types and ill get kami to pin it

radiant glade
low fox
#

So we can just do the same damn thing we do in weapons

coral pivot
#

Because I really think you just love filling screens with half sentence responses.

frozen ridge
#

lolol newtons three laws of motion

low fox
#

he unironically doens't understand how metals respond to projectiles impacting them

#

and he thinks because he's a shill for whatever company he sucked off, that makes him an SME

radiant glade
#

Isaac Nuketon

low fox
#

Is he saying ceramic deforms?

radiant glade
frozen ridge
#

ok, but bullet science is kinda like rocket sciene. like recoil and stuff right

low fox
#

yeah

coral pivot
#

Seriously, put an entire thought together before responding. I don't have the time to sit here and keep up with your thirty responses.

low fox
#

he thinks ceramics deform

#

AHGAHHAAHAHHAHGHA

#

You fucking idiot

coral pivot
#

Ceramic shatters.

low fox
#

even though by DESIGN they do not

#

they distribute the energy along the conoids

coral pivot
#

I NEVER said ceramic "deforms"

low fox
#

which crack

frozen ridge
#

okok. get the slow mo guys on this

radiant glade
#

Manic is looking for his out by attacking LMT directly

low fox
#

Personally i have a set of ceramics and a backup set of steels

coral pivot
#

What?

frozen ridge
#

u guys r board

low fox
#

I use the steels for weight training

frozen ridge
#

i use gravity

low fox
#

you do understand that poly plates are composites

#

right

barren kettle
coral pivot
#

I said that.

low fox
#

Plus if im at a comp i can chuck my plates and not be worried

#

composites of what

#

go on

coral pivot
#

Kind of the whole meanign behind "poly"

low fox
#

composites

#

of

#

what

coral pivot
#

Beyond that, it's specifically polyetheline.

low fox
#

sigh..

#

THIS CLOSE

#

THIS CLOSE to greatness

radiant glade
#

poly means multiple right?

coral pivot
#

I couldn't roll my eyes harder if I tried.

frozen ridge
#

yearsh. multiple

#

poly-gon

#

(:

radiant glade
#

multi-gone

low fox
#

most UHMWPE plates are not exclusively polyetheline idiot

coral pivot
#

"PE (Polyethylene) body armor comes in as some middle ground between Kevlar and steel body armor. While it not as lightweight as Kevlar, it is a lot lighter than steel. PE is a thermoplastic material. PE body armor is manufactured by bonding Unidirectional UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) fibers over a high-density PE sheet."

low fox
#

if they were they would get absolutely destroyed

frozen ridge
#

f wikipediaed

coral pivot
#

So sorry I spelled it wrong the first time.

low fox
#

quite a few of them use a variety of aramid and other fibers

#

but i digress

coral pivot
#

Aramid/Kevlar woudl be used as a secondary base plate to prevent the BFD (Back face deformation)

low fox
#

Not to fuckin mention

low fox
#

if the energy transfer was as poor as you were claiming

coral pivot
#

It's fucking plastic.

low fox
#

it would be prohibitively expensive to produce certified plate models

#

yet alas

#

it isn't

#

meanwhile, the cheaper material steel

#

has..

#

let's see..

#

oh yeh

#

i think there's 1 model of steel armor

#

that is NIJ certified

#

literally 1

#

of the countless chinese import armors that manage to scrape by

#

for some reason

#

not ONE steel model has successfully passed

coral pivot
#

"Polyethylene or polythene (abbreviated PE; IUPAC name polyethene or poly(methylene)) is the most common plastic in use today. It is a polymer, primarily used for packaging --"

low fox
#

more than(

#

hey man, aren't you supposed to be some kinda SME?

coral pivot
#

Mr "alas-it's-not-plastic"

low fox
#

?

#

quote me

#

i'll wait

coral pivot
#

[7:36 PM] ManicDeadman: It's fucking plastic.
[7:36 PM] lord "LMT Enjoyer" refreshing: it would be prohibitively expensive to produce certified plate models
[7:36 PM] lord "LMT Enjoyer" refreshing: yet alas
[7:36 PM] lord "LMT Enjoyer" refreshing: it isn't

low fox
#

reading comprehension = 0

#

cool

#

so anyway

radiant glade
#

I like how people don't argue about what gear they use and why, they discuss how metal works

coral pivot
#

Eh, I may have skipped a sentence or two because god forbid you type an entire thought out before hitting enter.

low fox
#

you're just an idiot

#

which is okay

#

not everyone in the US is literate

#

we already discussed your lack of proper education

#

so this isn't new information

coral pivot
#

I'm the only one here from what it seems like that has actually tested these materials next to each other.

low fox
#

"i do not like the way you type so i will take what you said out of context, and stack them on falsified claims"

radiant glade
#

Ive watched youtube videos side by side

#

does that count?

coral pivot
#

I've shot them.

low fox
#

let's actually break this down so there's structure to what mr smoothbrain here is saying

radiant glade
#

they shot em in youtube

low fox
radiant glade
low fox
#

"Beyond that, steel is the only armor type that will A, take more than one shot and B, not deform a dagger into your chest."

this is a complete and utter lie, as all NIJ certified plate models are required to be able to pass all testing shots within 44mm of deformation

radiant glade
#

^

#

hence the rating system

low fox
#

actually LMT i do have a question for you

#

KP9 Mag pouches, what do you recommend for comps/my LBE

#

"Flexible armor (Aramid/Kevlar) will stop heavy pistol rounds and rated for MAYBE two shots." this is also a lie, as the majority of decent soft armor is more than capable of stopping 3+ shots in close proximity

coral pivot
#

Ok, now look up how much deformation a steel plate with an antifragmentation layer of Aramid/Kevlar has.

low fox
#

"Ceramic/hard plate will shatter if you look at it wrong and will stop ONE round". another lie

radiant glade
#

lol

low fox
#

Again, NIJ ratings specify a level 3 plate MUST STOP it was either 5 or 6 shots of M8-

#

M80*

#

7.62x51

radiant glade
coral pivot
#

WTF

low fox
#

"Steel plate, with an appropriate covering, is the only option to defend against multiple rounds and retain it's shape."

#

another lie

radiant glade
#

drop it and it breaks 🤤

coral pivot
#

Level III is not rated for 7.62

low fox
#

?

radiant glade
#

it is im pretty sure

#

ive read the same thing

low fox
#

THIS IS THE DUDE SELLING PEOPLE LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT

radiant glade
#

Manic must be thinking IIIA

low fox
#

HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT

#

AND CLAIMS TO HAVE SOLD ARMOR PLATES TO PEOPLE

radiant glade
#

that was the fatal mistake

low fox
#

I PITY EVERYONE WHO PURCHASED ANYTHING FROM THIS MAN

#

EVER

#

HE IS AN IDIOT

coral pivot
#

I was wrong.

low fox
#

DO NOT PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FROM IDIOTS

#

Personally, just dont run plates sshhdoge

#

I know you're wrong idiot

coral pivot
#

I was,

low fox
#

That's why I'm calling you an idiot

#

I know my shit

#

I know you don't know your shit

#

That's why you're being clowned

#

How is this hard for you to understand

#

You literally made claims that are all disproved by an official government body with empirical evidence and a testing process

coral pivot
#

Get fucked.

low fox
#

?

radiant glade
#

my GF has a dad in Law Enforcement and he bought a IIIA vest from a retiring coworker who told him it would stop rifles
I just about lost my shit and I showed him the lists and mightve saved his ass someday

low fox
#

i'd rather not get fucked

#

i'm straight

radiant glade
#

Manic are you a retired LEO?

low fox
#

he should retire from being an idiot

barren kettle
#

why did he say get fucked 🤣

low fox
#

i dunno

radiant glade
low fox
#

i assume it's because i'm a very sexy man

coral pivot
#

My comment was auto deleted.

low fox
#

and he would like to have sexual relations with me

#

however, i must firmly refuse

#

oh yeah i wasn't done shitting on him

#

anyway

coral pivot
#

Go for it.

low fox
#

the reason this idiot claims steel "doesn't deform"

#

is because there is partial truth to it

frozen ridge
#

u guys r still at it?

low fox
#

Anyway, to move topic. I need some 9mm SMG mag pouches for comps

#

if steel armor is hit by a round that doesn't penetrate outright

#

the round will shatter

radiant glade
low fox
#

and there won't be much deformation to speak of

#

but if it does

#

not only will it deform catastrophically

#

penetrating the plate

coral pivot
#

Hence why I made the distinction of having an antifragmentation medium.

low fox
#

but it will push that metal into your body

#

and it is very VERY easy to penetrate steel

frozen ridge
#

cant u just pull up and image of dented steel armour?

#

and thats the end of it?

low fox
#

you can do it with a 20" barrel and m193

#

one of the most common rounds in america

radiant glade
#

essentially he is selling people PACA claiming it is rifle armor

coral pivot
#

Yeah, no.

low fox
#

he literally has 0 actual knowledge of what he's selling

#

nor how it works

#

he's just regurgitating fuddlore that's been disproven over and over

coral pivot
#

I don't sell it anymore, that was 10+ years ago.

radiant glade
#

he probably isnt selling anything
it was just a "my dad owns xbox" moment

low fox
#

hate to break it to you bud, but 10 years hasn't changed how steel works

frozen ridge
#

lol

low fox
#

nor how ceramic plates, or UHMWPE works

coral pivot
#

I'm going off of info that I haven't used in a decade easily.

frozen ridge
#

but like new carbon atoms

low fox
#

true

#

i mean who knows

#

each atom could behave differently than the other atom

#

we just cant know for sure

frozen ridge
#

the very fabtic of carbon has been reenginered in the last 10 years

#

jk jk

low fox
#

well obviously, weren't you there?

frozen ridge
#

u guys have fun

low fox
#

it was a different world 10 years ago

radiant glade

"do you even know who I am? I could armor you in 32 different ways using only my bear hands"

#

im 9 idk about atoms 10 yrs ago

coral pivot
#

So, if you know everything about armor, what would you wear?

#

Mr Supreme knowledge of the Tarkov Discord.

radiant glade
#

you probably only NIJ level II tho

coral pivot
#

Terrible decision.

radiant glade
#

if I had to guess

coral pivot
#

Not even.

radiant glade
#

NIJ level paper

coral pivot
#

Probably.

low fox
#

what would i wear?

#

IIIA paper

#

or what do I wear

coral pivot
#

Either

radiant glade
#

Im going naked

low fox
#

because if we're talking about what I would wear

radiant glade
#

I'm gonna make a suit out of Iron

that worked for iron man

It would definitely be the ceradyne AA4 or similar

what do I wear now?

They were literally spook plates produced for JSOC and the CIA

#

They're like 4.8 pounds

It wasn't even known that they existed until a few years ago

coral pivot
#

Clicked the wrong link, lol.

radiant glade
