No don’t. CIF is shady as hell. When I did my first Iraq trip we did a 1 for 1 exchange of the ceramic SAPIs fit ESAPIs. Fast forward a few years later when I was clearing CIF they charged me for the SAPIs because they couldn’t find the paperwork I turned them in. The fact I was turning in the ESAPI I could only get by exchanging the SAPI wash my good enough. $500 for shitty cracked plates I didn’t even have.

Some AKs really do not like them, especially 556 ones

Generally though, if your gun is pretty well gassed it's not really a problem

Stuff is still going to be made in Bozeman. The Yeti takeover hasn't effected them at all yet, and they're building shit exactly the same way they did before. Yeti uses them for their IP and to develop better products for them, they allow full autonomy. It makes them more money that way anyways, since they own both businesses.

Kit was 81 lbs before assault pack of mission essentials. When we air assaulted into Diyalah I was humping additional 55 lbs of shit on top of my kit

I was more than happy to shed the cpl extra pounds in plate weight lol

And honestly knowing then what I know now would have just confirmed my thought process. Saw shrapnel from an s vest go thru front plate thru torso and completely out back plate
