I'm on my third winter of rocking ecwcs level 7 pants and kamik insulated rubber boots and I am so happy with how they both have worked out for under $150 total its crazy. The boots work fine with your basic bitch snowshoes and they are pretty decent on ice. Enough ankle support to pull a sled or wear a backpack or both but you still get enough movement to comfortably climb up slippery slopes and rocks and stuff. Plus at the end of the day you can pull the liners out to dry 😌 I wish the boots were a little taller and the pants had more robust spots for suspenders but you can't have it all in a cheap set up.
