depends on the EQ of your actual desktop, all headsets give the same "Range boost" for hearing, so it genuinely is preference

How hearing works in tarkov is that there is a "threshhold" for audio to even be played, if you dont meet that "Threshhold" then the sound does NOT play, this can be seen for example on staircases, where you cant hear someone sprinting up it until they are ontop of you

All headsets equally give a boost to this threshold, its just the difference is the actual equalization of the audio so there is a placebo of hearing better or worse

tl;dr use what sounds the most comfortable because comfort = playing better

to be perfectly honest the internet itself is held together by duct tape, you would almost have to forcably upgrade every data center between all your customers and your servers too

the internet wasnt made for what we use it for today and its a miracle it works in the first place

This is the tarkov servers having issues, no other part of the internet.
The servers are simply not up for the task, and I can't really blame them for not paying more to upgrade them and have several since the game itself is built very poorly. I love the game. But the basics of it is simply built wrong.
