@fallen mason the advantage of a low LOD setting is mainly better FPS. However there is a slight engine bug, if you're using the low setting certain items of cover will not render at long range on your screen and you will be able to see anyone hiding behind it.

To tell you the truth when it comes to game settings the only time you should be using the same settings as another guy is when you have the same hardware specs as them. You might have a bottleneck in your system that pestillys rig doesn't suffer from. For example, if you don't have a high end CPU sometimes low settings can result in poor performance because assets and graphics calls are being handled by the CPU instead of your potentially higher performance GPU. @fallen mason

map knowledge is your friend. learn spawns and high traffic area's and listening is what id recommend. aiming comes naturally just with every FPS

once youve mastered a map and know how to traverse it youl be more adept in approaching situations or surprise situations that you may encounter while traversing the map
