Yeah, that's why I usually lean into stealth. If I can't put the person down in a shot or two from a distance, I usually don't fuck with them. If they stumble across me, I try to make sure my cover FORCES their footsteps to be audible, before they can engage me. I've survived a lot more fights now this wipe

That's caused by GPU shutting itself off as a safety measure so it doesn't damage itself. And this is caused by overheating so: 1. Blow out all the dust from your PC, 2. Repaste it with Thermal Paste (the gpu) and it should be better. Or get new fans or better fans to get lower temps.

Can’t anymore, it can only be bought from PK now. I’ve heard rumors that your scav can potentially spawn with it, but I’ve never seen it happen.

I want to brag a bit about the raids I’ve had lately. Been going for the kill Sturman with the M700 with that awful scope quest, and it’s got me playing WAY different from normal

I used to really hate the bolt actions and the SKS, but on Woods playing really slow and sneaky, they pair up super well. Been using the PSO scope on my SKS for range finding, then switch over to the M700 and hitting a lot of shots that way. Upped my longest shot ever twice in two days, from 420m to 430 and then again to 540m

It’s so much fun, especially considering I never enjoyed either of those guns before. And it’s SUPER cheap to run, done about 6 or 7 raids and still haven’t gone through a stack of M61 or BP. Made a decent bit of money too from Sturman, and one of his guards one time had a Zabralo at 35/85, so I’m hoping to literally double my current money if it sells lol

Don't worry... Everytime I have basic gear - I'm good... can run around, survive for 40 odd minutes with no issues....

Every time I go in fully geared, I'm getting ganked within the first two minutes EVERY TIME GUARENTEED it's that crap that ruins this game....

Shot some guy 3 times with 7.62 x 39mm AP bullets, twice in the back, He shrugged it off, and sprayed me with an AK from 100m away and 1 shot me in the head....

But seems to me that every other person I meet when fully geared is "Just lucky"... and kills me within the first two minutes of spawning in... But when I have a pistol, with 9 x 18 rounds, I don't meet fully geared people like ever, survive whole rounds, and even get a couple kills

That’s not something they can easily do. Somebody on Reddit did a whole breakdown of their net code to discover it’s very inefficient and bad. But fixing it requires them to redo a significant amount of work. It’ll have to happen for the game to truly be great, but it’s not an easy fix. It’s going to take them literally years of work to redo it and it doesn’t seem like they’ve started it yet.

I agree desync is a big problem, but not much you can do for a company this size. It seems they prioritized the in-game stuff over the more important stuff

can't do much unless you want to work on it yourself, the same way that one GTA guy did that reduced loading times

either that or you can patiently wait like the rest of us for them to fix it which will take a long time as someone already said

and plus, this game is still in development last I checked, so they still have to figure out of the nooks and crannies until full release

Tbh I don’t have a lot of faith it will be fixed. Networking is extremely complicated, you have teams of coders who build apps and programs and then separate teams JUST for networking because it’s such a complex mess. And BSG doesn’t seem big enough to manage that yet.

There are programs to port stuff, but no port tool has ever done a great job of it. Most of the time when you port something, you spend almost as long fixing it and making it work than it would have taken to just make it from scratch for the new program

How do you tell the difference between people and scavs? I've never known why people think you can differentiate the two easily. My experience goes as follows:
Looking at person, unseen: One-tap with pm
Looking at person, directly: Either I get scav aimbotted, or they survive enough bullets to kill a fucking tyrannosaurus rex
