I have about 30 hours on the game from mostly before the most recent wipe. I'm pretty decent at actually shooting and maneuvering and I have a good amount of experience on Interchange. However, after this wipe, I've been attempting to play the game in a way that seems to be more successful in the long run -- I used to basically just rat my way around Interchange and pick fights with scavs, but now I'm wanting to play more aggressive while doing Prapor's quests.

It's intentional, thermal scopes are powerful but expensive and people used to take it in and out their container when using it, more rarely dying with it

Pretty sure you can still do that with night vis/thermal goggles

A good rule of thumb is, solo geared players don't exist, always expect a 2nd, and if you drop the 2nd, a 3rd, etc.
