If you tell "enemy down" after killing someone, is it context sensitive? I've seen worrun playing and killing someone, then yelling "usec down". I had someone tell me that's its random, sometimes you tell USEC down even if it's a scav/bear which just doesnt sound right. Can anyone confirm if it's actually random, and if so why worrun tells it after every kill?

if you have no gear best bet is to fast right click his gun rig and backpack and reposition

they will want to loot him

landmark only succeeds in being agressive because he fights bots 9/10 of the time

Some disagree but I think joining EFT mid-late wipe is actually a good thing for your first time. Things you need are cheap on the flea market, nobody is competing with you on the same quests, just need to use a vepr hunter or something

Why not have the flea market merged into the traders so that everything available on the flea market is sold at traders not the flea market but at a set rate not at a player decided rate? This would cut out many of the player markups for items and somewhat eliminate RMT and emphasize buying/selling with traders.

Yes but it gives an incentive to cheat and use RMT to get around core features of the game. If you just keep the flea market but merge it into the traders section, you can get rid of many if the incentives to cheat or participate in RMT.

Because then people can't farm for loot and control the price at absurd prices while still keeping prices moderate/high on certain items with traders.

yes. supply and demand. but because of the unregulated prices as a result of supply and demand is the reason why people are cheating and using RMT. Which is why implementing the benefits of the flea market to traders without the negative aspects like unregulated prices would eliminate the cheating and RMT and still incentivize buying/selling with a trader

right now, there is little to no reason to ever buy or sell with a trader after a certain point. the flea market almost makes the traders obselete

i honestly prefer the way the game is now, bc the idea of having all maps connected "seamlessly" is a terrible idea IMO, tired of extract camping? then you'll love entrance camping in addition to exit camping. Not only that, but the ability to have fast transitions between each sector will probably be too much for some pcs to handle

I see, thks again @dawn snow . EFT is great for PVP and group play, the game quality is really amazing. But I would really love to have an online open world survival-crafting-shooter game with MMORPG features for a slower paced experience. I doubt Dayz/Scum/Survive the Night/Dead Matter/Deadside will add those elements, and clearly, I doubt EFT is going for that.

Actually, I see a way for them to implement survival/crafting/mmorpg to the game. So an open world, with faction camps that have NPCs (the ones in the menu that act as traders and that give quests + another NPC that gives you access to the marketplace), and in those faction camps you would have your hideout location but you can only access it after a loading screen (so as if you go to another map). Maybe there could be a raiding system, but i can't think of a way to make it work. Then you implement the roaming AI, some animals (rabbits, deer, wolves and bears), the possibility for hunting/fishing, crafting/repair. Some maps are only accessible as instances, as it is at the moment, so map to map travel. For all this to work, you will need two PMCs, two hideouts, two marketplaces, one for each game mode. For that open world mode, you will spawn the first time at the usual spawn points, your goal is to complete your character/faction storyline and to get a hideout, instead of having one by default. As such, you won't have the problem of players camping exit/entrance. You won't have people who play one mode complain because of advantage/disadvantage of having players that are from the other game mode.

Apparently, Nikita said that he finished writing the lore, but the moment the story line quest is complete, they will release the open world mode. There is another video with someone saying that the open world mode will be released at the end of this year, according to Nikita, but not sure if this is true.

Gameplay: You will have to do the normal raid and extract to unlock the next map, depending on the extract you take. After extracting from all maps will you have access to the open world mode. Each map has its own quest, similar to what it is now, but placed into a storyline. Some maps will only be accessible through map to map travel, such as Lab and Streets of Tarkov. But Shoreline to Reserve and Reserve to Customs will be open world. According to the person who made the video, the information come from the devs of EFT, but it is subject to change.

Speculation on the storyline quests: you will have quests that would make you travel from one map to the next to kill x amount of scav/player or find x amount of item, or deliver x item to x NPC. If this is what is planned, I think it would make the actual game better, but I also think that it's a shame that they don't aim for the next generation online survival-shooter-mmorpg game. I believe they could even keep Shoreline to Reserve and Reserve to Customs open world, and the rest map to map, and it would still work. For more info on it, read my previous long post.

Hello Guys - I have here a input for the Water collector in the Hideout ->

If you insert a water filter in the water collector, it has a total duration of 8 hours. It takes around 5 hours to produce the super water. That means the water filter lasts 3 hours and runs out. But if I replace the water filter, the 3 hours are not counted as part of it and are no longer applicable. Wouldn't it be more realistic if I got the 3 hours added to it? Because the water has already been collected and filtered in the container. I'm just replacing the filter.

just, it was a weird bug. yesterday i tried to build my lvl3 nutrition unit and it said that i wasn't lvl 3 metabolism even tho it said i was in the skills menu and it confused me. i just had to lvl it up by a couple of points in raid and it was alright after that

people are doing it more exactly because of the way gear has been rendered useless

the majority of players dont have enough to spend on the best armor and weapons every raid, or simply dont want to

so the easy solution is to camp an angle and get an ez shot on somebody

whereas back then, even if you camped an angle and took the first shot, you put yourself at a disadvantage because your enemy is most likely gonna survive and now he knows your exact location

If you run Interchange enough, then yes. You'll make it back within a few runs and it's not hit up that often. A good spot for NVGs and attachments. Only issue is that you'll need to survive the raid in order to properly make back for it.

@slow bear i had a very big problem with that bug, i think its on bsg's fault, but there are some things you can do. before every raid restart tarkov and clear cache in the tarkov launcher, i have 16 GB so i dont think its a problem with ram but it might be. but the best thing for me to do is for example if im playing shoreline, ill restart the game, clear caches, load a offline raid before i play shoreline and then actually get into the raid, this makes it where the loading map screen is only like 40-60 seconds long as apposed to like 2-3 minutes long, hope this helps.

@waxen helm yes you are right it will trash the game, because someone at bsg is with head concussion, by bsg logic if teammate kills you, you get 1% of health, if enemy kills you get 30%....if your teammates has PTSD, then it is not cool...and even though you communicate well, they still kill you :), so you get punished twise... so back to karma, no one will know how it will be, if it is only for scavs on scav violence i am up for karma, if it is for faction, which makes no sense at all, regarding there is quests when you are usec you have to kill usecs..., and 99% thats what BSG will do 😄 then game will be unplayable....how do you even distinguish which is bear and usec....

i get scav on scav. But i have heard youtubers and content creators "quoting" Nikita that the karma system will also be faction based for PMCs. So USEC on USEC and BEAR on BEAR etc will be bad for you and will cause gun jams and hav eother negative effects etc. This is a fucking stupid idea as Tarkov has totally built a kill on sight mentality in the players. You just know that the minute you try to be friendly with someone, they are gonna kill you, then you will never try it again.
