but i think its flawed because what if i cant identify wether a pmc is a bear or usec? there isnt very many defining features rather than close up apprearence and voice lines

I don't think it is a good idea, what if i were to be hiding in a room and someone walks by without me having enough time to shoot? Seems Problematic. If i were to peak out of that room they could either be A. Scav B. Seperate Faction C. Bad Karma Player D. not in sight. Along with this It just seems as if there is too many variables for people to go through before KOS, and i understand that they want to make it "realistic" but at a certain point the difference between game mechanics and realism can severly affect a playerbase.
Along with this in real life there are many situations where people would be setup somewhere and "organized" to shoot and kos if someone breaches their perimeter whether that be a building or a preset area of defense.

And I'm pretty shit at Pvp so the system would actually suit me in that it would help me getting quests done to a degree and accessing certain loot areas without getting melted by thicc sweaty bois. But I still don't think it's that good of an idea.
It's pretty feasible that irl the situation in Tarkov could have descended into a free for all with factions attacking each other regardless of faction and USECS forming alliances with Bears. And one of the loading screen factoids says something about Scavs 'cutting each other's throats over a bigger slice' or something so I don't think Scav on Scav violence should be punished. I quite like how it's up to the player if they want to go into factory and try to pick off the Scavs to get some loot and bankroll happening. I think trying to stay within the boundaries of the ideas presented by the karma system would change the game a whole lot, and many would quit. Funnily enough, it would be the thicc sweaty bois who quit, whom I get really sick of playing with, but I'm still not sure about how I feel about it.

@verbal coral im not going to quote the whole message because its very large but in response - I agree with some of the things you say and i like how you presented that the opposite of karma is also realistic, but you mentioned how all the big geared pvper's of tarkov would quit and that would help but. If all of the (or many atleast) big pvpers quit the game there would be no challenge and the game would die. if everyone in tarkov was just cranking out quests thats all the game would have, and i get some people dont like pvp but the game isnt here to baby one side of the argument. I think that the idea of karma can be used in a different way to stop cocky chads from shitting on people because they can only get kills with 30 vert but it would also help the broke boy players obtain better loot, as they would not get ass fucked by a meta m4
The game as it is can be hard or annoying for some people, but thats because of their own playstyle, and i've seen countless people i know get bored and leave this game because they keep losing 700k kits to a kedr over and over again but thats their fault for using the same shit and doing the same things, if all you do is rat run it will get boring, and if all you do is labs and shorline chad runs it will also get boring, thats why i think a revamped karma system can help balance out the playerbase and keep people closer and not divided by loot rather than faction.
Along with this @verbal coral , the game isnt even technically "launched" yet so im just trying to stick around for a while to see a final polished product

My only wish regarding chadly chads is that it would be kinda nice for there to be some kind of ranking system, from my point of view. Some of the players who hang around Shoreline resort, Labs and even Interchange looking to kill anything that moves really can make the game unrewarding for people with my skill level.
Just these Karma mechanics sound a bit game-changing. I kind of really love Tarkov the way it is right now.

And most raider guns are worse than PMC guns so I’ll usually just strip valuable attachments and leave them in favor of player weapons

It is so that over time it automatically remembers where the center of the screen is? some monitors do have something like "screen assist" though.

well i do have a scav container where i usually hold one row big fuel and one row the blue one
in my generator i usually then 2-3 blue ones first and the rest the big ones
and the empty blue ones i take for mag cases --> scav cases
i just refueled at home, so i am set for the next 102h ... so when i do 2-3 runs like this today, then i am set for the next days and don't have to make fuel runs 🙂
