Removing any ability of getting these fir removes this rmt deal entirely. (can no longer bring a thicc into raid also). And honestly if they make it 1 ledx I think making it an icase is a great change

I agree. There should be a reward for being a sweaty nolife for 8+ hours a day. However, even though I'm only playing two hours a day I'd sure like to have the capital and space to be able to get on for those few hours and run a few high kit raids without completely cleaning my stash out.

Thing is you can run a few high kit raids with small stash size. Its just with people of high stash sizes they have 10 guns/armour at the ready. EOD is essentially a convenience, you die, equip and enter raid within seconds. When you have a small stash you liquidate everything onto a single kit, and have to spend time to re kit every death. Essentially one person has lets say 1m in roubles but 10 kits ready to go, while the other only has one kit ready to go but 10m roubles
Casual players are here for fun, not having an easily accessible thicc case isnt gonna bar someone from fleaing their favourite gun, kitting it out and doing a few raids once in awhile

The best thing for causals is when release actually happens. Yes the game will be even steeper to progress a year+ down the road but with a persistent character that doesnt wipe caters to the more casual audience. Dont feel rushed to reach late game gear due to what stage of a wipe it is

Very true. They're all steps into the right direction but it's teetering dangerously close to sending it off to a release where only people with loads of free time can have a foothold.
By casual I don't mean casually clicking through the game with contempt. I mean just not having the time to dedicate to it. DayZ SA could be considered hardcore survival (different game class altogether ik) and I can still get a good foothold in a server after a day or two. I love the hardcore aspect of tarkov in terms of the skills it demands. However I feel that it's dangerously close to becoming a black and white situation where you either sweat your life out for 4-8 hours a day for days in a row, or you get stomped on by everyone just because you don't have time to get to where you can run the best of everything available during whatever stage of the wipe, save for the occasional fellow "casual" you run across.
But, as I said. Steps in the right direction. I'm happy with the FIR changes because it prevents me from being an asshole and ending the wipe with 550m roubles in my stash.
Because quite frankly I didn't deserve any of that shit with only playing for two hours a day and playing the market on my laptop 30 mins before I sleep

So there goes about 80k in the AKM, including mods, class 5 armour, either a Fort or another which is usually 200k, and then class 3 helm with faceplate roughly 50k. Not to mention ammo which I usually load the first and second mag with BP, so that's another 50k.

Personally I went strictly road to customs/construction/pier/gas/ scav island. Much quieter route probably, but less efficient as well. I barely died though

Zeroing can make all the difference, especially with magnified optics. PSOs and Vudus tend to scale better with their zeroing from what I've noticed but close range with magnified optics is usually not the way to go. @rotund oyster

@severe shadow everyone has different monitors. go into an offline raid in interchange, open up the postfx menu, and press visualize. then play around with the settings, you can see what they look like in real time

why does firing or ADS'ing not cancel running or running while prone not send you back upright? to cancel the run I have to actually stop pressing W (which isn't usually what I want to do) and to cancel the prone I have to first go back to crouching. Is this a setting issue on my end or is are changes in movement states just always this clunky for everyone and i need to just git gud?

movement states are a bit clunky, one thing that I tend to do when going from spring to walking is start strafing before i release W, that seems to at least not stop your character completely.

@patent coyote I'll try and implement that, it seems to go against my muscle memory to do anything other than shooting. I don't mind a delay between run --> gun but pressing fire should overrise the previous command (Shift + w) in my mind. Releasing W is my problem really, i find that when I release W and Left Click at the same time, sometimes the run stops but I don't shoot until I click again
Same with healing or reload cancels. I don't mind the game even dropping the medkit to the floor if I press fire but fire should override the current action. Same on reload there can be a penalty while reloading a manual feed weapon (shotgun, mosin, etc.) but fire should still override

The lag is fucking insane the last couple of days, the desync is like 1,5 seconds which is annoying as fuck in a shooter, i've had so many times that a guy aimes 2 meters next to were i was 1,5 sec ago and i die, also behind walls etc etc. Enemy pmc's who drop dead 1 second after i shot my last bullet. Servers really are taking a big shit again. Feels like the 0.8 desync problems al over again....
