If you have iron sights, most guns are zeroed out to 100 meters,meaning your bullets will go a bit higher than your intended target if theyre less than 100 meters away. Keep that in mind during cqc with iron sights and aim for the bottom of their face rather than the middle

Aim for the top of head in cqc, the bullets are travelling from your hip/chest area, not your eyes, ergo, the bullets have to travel up, ergo they will fall short of their mark and still hit the face.

Yeah youre right. Learned that bullets come out of where the barrel actually is, and not just where your reticle is pointing, the hard way. Dumped 60 BT rounds into what was supposed to be a crowd of Gluhar guards just for them all to smack into a sandbag that was laying in front of me.

@azure eagle dude i was the one looting marked and they just push in five form the main hallway at the third floor. Manage to see and drop only 4 of them, i was using 30 round mag so i pop a nade and get back to reload. after that you know how it went xd (the exit camper was on shoreline)

Tracer rounds are highly visible. Be warned, if you don't kill your target with your first burst, they WILL see where they're coming from. I had a dude shoot suppressed at me with some form of 556 tracer, and I knew instantly where he was behind me, which let me get into a peek-off with him with a vastly inferior gun and no armor... and win

It's not just 'they can see bullets' but 'they can see -exactly where they came from-, which will kill you.

Skills are just convienience in the game and I wouldn't freak out about them... They do help, but not as much as people think unless they're maxed out and the most strength people will ever need is around 9 for all in-game jumps

when i go in factory naked, i am the first in the safe room, get everything there and die.

picked up guns off two scavs in a firefight now and both had mags in that were holding ammo incompatible with the gun - couldn't shoot lol

just easy popped some guy who was running armor piercing 5 7 and level 5 armor, sordins. its really not viable honestly unless youre Shroud level skill even then you dont want to risk it with gear

im not writing to brag. im more so trying to angle the conversation to self reflection. like are you moving while shooting? do you take too long to aim? are you constantly getting caught out in the open? theres usually basic explanation for most things that occur.

armor i feel is more relative. are pmcs running good ammo? are scavs a danger? imo armor just helps me vs shit ammo or long range if im full sprint between buildings

you can do solid reserve runs with armor piercing smgs and pacas dumping my armor at cliff. running armor to not get mowed down by a scav shot

im running BP ammo in my as val so im going to shred anything in front of me. makes a difference. i ran into a vss guy who was running sp-6 and im pretty sure that little extra damage/pierce made the difference. he had got the jump on me because i was moving between buildings but got him with hip fire. he was running sp-6. theres just a lot of elements to consider instead of just saying 'damn pistol headshots'. its happened to me i get one shotted in the face and decide to make changes on how i move around and gear i bring in. e.g. helmet with face shield. its saved me a few times where i get pistol headshotted and only get a contusion

I guess you can try to think of armor as a chance to survive rather than as protection from bullets.

Yes, if you're shot at with those expensive high armor pen rounds, armor wont save you very often due to the nature of said bullets. Effectively paying the price to make sure that the bullets you shoot will put someone down or really injure them.

On the opposite side, you have the cheaper armor pen rounds, Armor will help you more against these rounds depending on the armor rating. That being said, if someone manages to get a good 4-6 shots off on you depending on the type of ammo, chances are enough armor durability has been lost which will negate most of your protection. Being able to soak up 3-4 bullets and have the chance to get to cover is the trade-off. Wearing armor gives you that chance against flesh and lesser armor pen ammo where-as without armor, you would die as if you were running against good ammo.

In the end, you don't want to get hit by a bullet. But in the chance that you do get hit by one and the variables add up. You may survive instead of being dead.
