from what ive seen, its a slap in the face to all the players. you get slower as weight increases or something like that, so all the big backpacks are useless and the movement speed penalty gets insane like 1% speed

I disagree it feels bad atm but I don't think its all that terrible. makes prioritizing loot a little more important while at the same time cutting down on things like bunny hopping around corners carry 4 peoples worth of gear. Definitely feels bad though. They have the right idea they need to play around with the numbers a little more

i feel like the weight system plus the inventory-is-a-grid-of-cells system is redundant. games should use EITHER a weight system OR a grid for items, not both
for example, bethesda RPGs (elder scrolls, fallout 3/4/76) use a weight limit but your inventory is just a list of stuff and if the weight adds up to over your limit you're overencumbered

There is a reason why most militaries vouched to make the caliber of typical rounds smaller, such as the 5.45x39 and 5.45x45 instead of 7.62x39 & 7.62x51. While the former are definitely powerful, the prior has higher velocity due to it's smaller size, allowing for more penetration. The characteristics of bullets aren't so simply in real life, especially if you are bringing armour penetration into the mix. Now, to continue, weapons do actually matter, just not in the way you think. Where guns matter is in terms of distance and accuracy due to attributes such as velocity. This, match with a desired ammunition type, will provide with a deadly strike.

Seems like this is the only place to have an intelligent conversation lol. I was kinda wondering why my normal light kit makes me overweight, I get all the fuzz about ohh realism and all that but if you get punished for doing good in a video game then why the hell even play if you're not a masochist. And just the fact that taking hundreds of hours just to level strength to a higher level to be able to carry one more gun out of the raid is kinda ridiculous. The over weight mechanic should be there but more so for those ludicrous THICC items case raids, not for making it so that you have to take strength enhancing drugs just to get out of the raid in under half an hour. And with how much worth of gear you bring in you might not even be able to make a profit off of those raids since you can't even carry out the stuff you're getting. Other than that and the 3440x1440p ui scaling or whatever I'm very happy about the Interchange changes and especially the two stamina bars!

High FOV only makes the targets seem a bit farter away and bullets go a but higher, but at the ranges you'll be using for example the PK-06 it doesn't really matter that much.
Higher FOV also makes your situational awareness much better.

I feel like the new changes have been kinda weird. Movement is a lot faster, but lean sucks now (goodbye wiggling) and it feels like im constantly skating (like UT/Quake vs a realistic). (not to mention unbinding the auto walk slow is a bit jarring)

to be fair, unless someone has a faceplate on, any round (provided you bonk them in the face with it) should oneshot them (unless its a boss scav, those apparently have dumb hp values), so if the mp5 fires fast, you could get some lucky kills in with it

@floral depot Its fun to use but it doesnt shred except in super specific scenarios which you cant rely on. In that case any gun shreds LOL. But youre better off going with something else. Mp7 is similar, with ap sx but again that may be too expensive for you. Also depends what armor youre running into. If youre only running into scavs or noobs with really low armor, yes that gun will shred with ap 6.3 and it will be fun. But the second you run into someone with lvl 3+ armor, youure dead

I can't say this in the main channel as it will not get seen but, anyone who has elite stats in strength or endurance will still have those stats.
Even after they added a death layer to stop people abusing that exploit. This means that in the context of the new patch and how much more important both those stats are now, there is a large population of the playerbase right now with max stats while the rest are trying to level back up legit.
If they are going to fix it they need to wipe those stats again. Its not like previous patches where it did matter but it wasn't the end of the world.
I hope they do address this.
