@stable mirage LOD 2, high shadows, and 1000 render. I've tried adjusting shadows and textures to put more on the GPU. Same thing with resolution, I play in 1440p but tried 1080, etc. Can't break 50-60 on those maps

@keen girder I farm raiders and some of the buildings by the helipad are usually not fully looted since people mad rush for the electronics hotspots. Also underground sometimes it’s open and people don’t fully loot it. Also certain watch towers spawn paracords which go for a pretty penny

My friend I play with runs a 1080ti, I’ve helped him optimize his system and gets around 60-100fps on maps. Sure 144 in lobby screen.
If you run full screen you can break it a little, I can hit 300+ with some ini changes but it’s pointless

@silk fulcrum try verifying integrity of game files from the launcher. Sometimes it lets you get in, sometimes it kills your pmc, sometimes it resets your PMC to before raid status.

If you are a patient person who does not frustrate and rage over down servers or bugs then you will have a blast.
If you are not ready for that sort of thing IMO, DONT buy it YET, you should get it, but wait for it to be better polished. Also you can do like I did four years ago, Buy it, play a little every so often but dont depend on it being there, running and ready. 🙂 GL and I hope you have fun.

@tired timber if the servers well and truly go down, the screen goes black before you re-enter the game, you might get your char reset but you'll have to wait out the timer. if you can reconnect and enter the game for a few seconds at a time you'll probably get an mia, so just try and run to an exit

Yeah a looot of people recommend offline mode for beginners which isn't a bad idea, but I never really liked playing offline mode. If you do though, it's best used to practice aiming. You could go in offline mode and just practice aiming for scavs' heads

Hey! does anyone know exactly how armor works in regards to helmets and their reflection chance relative to their armor class and durability remaining? For example if I have a shattered light mask which has a high reflect chance, does it have the same or similar chance of the ssh helm which has a armor rating of 2 higher? and for either of those will a lower durability of that item make their reflection chance lower?

So... Upon inspection the battle buddy doesn't seem to have the shattered mask on either helmets or face shields, and doesn't cover ricochet chance at all... Time to go

i think ricochet is independant of armor for helms
in general armor loses effectiveness at lower durability, important to not that its a % of max durability sso you repair your armor 10 times and the max is 50% of the orignal you are now starting with armor that is 50% as effective

@hard surge You have a wiki entry or something for that? The way you describe it isn't how armor was explained to me. Armor at 30 has the same ability to tank a bullet as the same armor at 60, it's just closer to 0 durability, which means in total it can tank less bullets. A 30 durability armor gives you the same benefits as a 60 durability armor with the exception of being closer to 0.
That's how it was explained to me and seems to make sense. Haven't seen anything saying otherwise but would be interested if what you say is true.

Ya but I don't see anything that says anything other than "lower durability armor will give you less overall protection since it will break faster." I don't see anything like "30 durability armor will only reduce bullet damage by 10% whereas 60 durability will reduce by 20%" for example.

So my friends and I are going to do a Hide and Seek challenge where I give the winner of a hunt a Red Rebel Icepick.
The details are that one of them has to be the hunted, and the other two have to track him down but are independent. The winner of the kill or the escapee if he lives gets the pick.
