yeah tbh, at this point in the game's life there's no such thing as fair for a newbie, there's so much to learn, so many bs ways to die and so many players who are wayyy better than you that a better gun or more stash space won't really do much for you

Im somewhat seasoned but I am frusterated with the 250$ edition giving players free rep and from what I heared arena gives way more xp than eft, which I kinda feel like defeats the point. I mean if someone has to pay money to make progression more bearable than the devs are admitting there is something wrong with proggression to begin with.

I agree on your point about arena, atm it's wayyy too rewarding, on xp though imo it really doesn't matter. the xp gains after lvl 15 and before lvl 46 are negligible, once you know what you're doing you can make just as much from just doing regular questing, it's only really advantageous to get to lvl 15 and even then that's only like a day's head start.

as far as trader rep goes, I won't deny it's a big advantage at the start but like the xp from arena it really only matters in the first month where after that all the veteran players will have max traders. And to be fair considering how much content you can get out of this game, paying just $40 is a pretty damn good deal

I guess this is more of a fundamental issue I have with game design in general
Take the gamma container for example.
If the developers want to tell me its worth paying money for the gamma container, because it makes the game "better/more enjoyable". Than they are admitting there is something wrong, gameplay wise, with the alpha container.

Also from my experience once I get to around lvl 20 level ups don't happen that fast even if I somehow can get quest done consistently.
I really love the vision of this game, being an immersive "hardcore game" but paying for any kind of advantage makes it seem less like it's less being authentically hardcore. As someone who can't play this game a ton to keep up with everyone else. So to give them any other advantage feels like a punch to the gut.

I feel as though the developers should give every player what makes sense from a gameplay standpoint. I'm fine with them selling cosmetics but having players pay for a advantage I disagree with out of principal.

if youre anywhere around the clock tower intersection where the "convoy got ambushed" youre probably getting beamed, same with the car extract side, if youre anywhere around the back alley connector entrance (around where the semi trailer is) youre probably getting beamed. If you make it to the front of either side, tossing a nade clears the machine gunners and usually the AGS gunner just sits on the AGS waiting for you to shoot him in the back. If you actually read this, your best bet is to come out of the hole in Chek, or Tarbank, Tarbanks a lil risky cause AI can see through all the blinds and shit. Aspect side you can key the door or just not come from concordia street

The ref merchant is in both games, and he is used to transfer rubles and GP coin between games

You can transfer up your 1m rubles per day with him, and your character is the same between games. So you get xp and skills very fast

You can use gp in the main game to buy gear from ref. At higher ref levels you can buy stuff like special keys, containers, graphic cards

The longer you’re in a fight with a scav, the more accurate they get. If you have to get into a prolonged fight with a scav, change your peeks or move to new positions.

bosses are only 30% chance at the min and only goons with hunt you at that range, so they should be low risk, not dying 30s after spawn is a map knowledge thing, knowing which path to take which won't get you head eyed

It's been probably talked a lot over the years but should I upgrade my ram to 32gb if I constantly get fps drop in middle of fight?
The gpu utilization is at 100% but drops to 60% when in huge fight.

Everyone drops some FPS in fights as long as you're staying above 60fps it should be fine. If you really want to upgrade then upgrade but it's not going to get rid of frame drops when you ads or in fights.

honestly, I am not sure. It's all anecdotal. The game felt very alive prior to the update. The only thing they noted was that getting into matches would be faster. You have to win those fights against the scavs that kill you. They are usualy more expirienced, have higher scav karma and goot stuff in their pockets
