What he meant is that PVE was a mistake. They never wanted to do it in the first place. Now they wanted to release it only for the people who care about such a thing. But their mistake was to bundle it with a bunch of p2w. Otherwise I'm sure nobody would have been bothered if they just surprised everyone with an additional unlockable PVE option. Yes it is DLC, but it has nothing to do with live EFT, they could have just released it as a standalone game not requiring EFT that one needs to download seperately and no EOD player could say anything against it.

There are proven ways to continue making money such as cosmetic micro transactions. We can all sit here and say they wouldn't work but lets look at a majority of live service games out there, they all make their money of that now. I'm going to use cod as an example here, the last time that game sold a actual dlc was bo4 yet that series is now making more than ever due to cosmetics. Another example is black desert, that game has never stopped sold a dlc yet last I checked makes a few mil every year of cosmetics and pay for convenience items. Saying battle state games couldn't do something similar is just lying

This is my issue, "You dont need to buy anything at any stage." We bought EOD years ago when it was a bare bones game and just a promise, the mass EOD owners essentially funded the game under the impression we would have the BEST edition of the game, not having to purchase anything else pre or post release, especially considering $150 is already a crazy price. Its more about them breaking their promise than anything, they've lost the trust of a lot of the community. and truthfully NOBODY has issues with supporting the game, add cosmetics, voice lines, even some weapon skins could still be realistic. But adding PTW content is NOT the way to monetize your game.

We bought EOD years ago when it was a bare bones game and just a promise, the mass EOD owners essentially funded the game under the impression we would have the BEST edition of the game, not having to purchase anything else pre or post release, especially considering $150 is already a crazy price. Its more about them breaking their promise than anything, they've lost the trust of a lot of the community. and truthfully NOBODY has issues with supporting the game, add cosmetics, voice lines, even some weapon skins could still be realistic. But adding PTW content is NOT the way to monetize your game.

This is my issue, "You dont need to buy anything at any stage." We bought EOD years ago when it was a bare bones game and just a promise, the mass EOD owners essentially funded the game under the impression we would have the BEST edition of the game, not having to purchase anything else pre or post release, especially considering $150 is already a crazy price. Its more about them breaking their promise than anything, they've lost the trust of a lot of the community. and truthfully NOBODY has issues with supporting the game, add cosmetics, voice lines, even some weapon skins could still be realistic. But adding PTW content is NOT the way to monetize your game.
