I think there is a hidden thing in Tarkov where if you bring any kind of gear other than your own you get an evolved tagged and cursed. The packet loss thing definitely works. it's not a guarantee, but it helps.

On interchange for example you'll always get it at the start of the game on the 38th or 37nd second. If you get the icon it's a certainty that killa isn't there (unless if you're playing on a massive ping server or you just have horrible internet in general).
If you don't get the icon there's a good chance that he's there. I'd say like 50/50.

The same applies to some other maps, definitely works for shturman. And honestly while boss hunting does suck, at least shturman always spawns in the same location, so you don't have to spend half an hour running around thinking he could be there :p

Oh yeah, another thing i've noticed. When you don't have packet loss and you instantly see a ton of scavs everywhere, then it's preeeeetty certain that a boss is there.

Bosses however are already loaded in and are present at the start of the raid, so AI behaviour has been pre-loaded, hence no packet loss

Btr can shoot you randomly (bug) or if someone bought cover fire service while moving with it. The only way to tell if its gonna shoot you is to peek it from the back, if its turning the turret towards you then its aggroed. You can run to it from its back if you are close to it as it wont be able to turn turret in time, once you are near it, it cant shoot anymore, you can then use it yourself but careful when you get out.
