EFT is a post apocalyptical survival shooter. Number 1 goal, extract.
You can play however you want to play, the only limit is the timer really.
Arena is... tarkov's strange gunplay, with a fast paced braindead gamestyle.
Tarkov's gunplay and movement is clunky and just a pain to work with in general. It works in tarkov as it's more slow paced and mods etc. can improve your gun's feeling.
Put that clunky gameplay into fast paced CSGO type game, it's just... ughh. Like, I can get it though, some might want that, but it's got nothing to do with tarkov imo.
Give to that the gamemode, it's literally 1 minute of actual fun fighting, then it's capture the point to quickly end the fight, so everyone have to kinda work around that and be agressive for the point. And then if nothing happens it's just sudden death against bots.
The match is over in 2 min tops.
A good fight in tarkov 1v1 lasts for 5-10 minutes, even CQB. Those are the fun fights anyways I think. In arena, it's just... braindead run and gun repeat. At least give me the possibility to play this thing tactically. CSGO a match can lasts for a long time with heavy tactical influence, here... not so much.

that's the thing though, I can't really see this being much of a supplement at all.
I'm at 2.7 KD currently in arena, that's more than most of the streamers out there. Yet I do nothing of skill here, why? becuase you can't. You can't outplay, you can't flank, you can't really do much of anything. And that's because of the map shape and team setup. The maps are way too small and cramped to really be able to do much work. And the team play isn't much teamplay at all, you don't have time to communicate, it's... too fast paced.
A game like CSGO has this format dailed down, where it's just fast enough for people to be happy, but slow enough for people to be competitive. Arena feels more like a warmup lobby than anything else.
Trying to translate skill from arena to EFT might work in streets and labs, but not much else :/
