the only limiting factor is the server backend respond speed (spinning white circle every time you reload) and thatā€™s not particulaly under your control nor solvable via snipe bot

i got the game 3 days ago and i just upgraded today. makes things easier, but you dont need it. in the beginning you getr killed so much thatyou may be better off selling the good stuff that comes with the game and using the money for something you cant lose like cases and hideout upgrades which eventually make you money and i think make some of your expenses go down. most people told me yeah get it but not yet, so if youre gonna get it either way just decide if you wanna wait. depends how much you like grinding early game. read everything that comes with it, decide if that sounds good. and the new death match style dlc theyre putting out soon and all future ones are included, so if youre gonna buy that game then theres your answer

I have been getting a weird bug that happens with SJ6 stims when you DC. I DCed while one was up and reconnected, then popped a vaseline and it only lasted for 30 seconds. Every PK I used that raid lasted 30 seconds including goldenstar. 3rd time it's happened to me after DCing with a SJ6 running.

And 60% sounds a lot, but if you take into account the amount of total number of players in all of those raids and that this was said to be at least 1 cheater per raid, out of 100 raids, that'd be 60 cheaters, but at the same time, depending on map, that's like 1000 legit players, not to mention it was usually recurring cheaters

yes when wipe first happened if you had it on it would cause frames to drop on most maps. once i turned it off i got 100 fps on all maps and 60 on streets. i will give a scav run a go now and see if i get stutters again and let you know

tarkov is way too complex to just "ban all the cheaters", game is so random, so many variables, so many accidents, etc etc for them to just start banning people

@south scroll Whether or not its as easy or not to fix the problem I won't weigh in on, but I don't believe its not possible to detect the super obvious ones, like the rmters on flea selling 30 ledx with 100+fence rep, which I think is unachievable, as somebody whose no-lifed the game this wipe. If the rmt methods were shut down and the obvious ones banned, it might deter the career ones who are looking to make real money from this. I agree nobody should be unluckily banned for a good shot, but if people are vacuuming and using radar to throw a grenade at a rat whose been hiding for 30 min out of all los and making no noise idk, kind of tricky

In the 4 years I've played this game, the past 6 months have been the worst cheater wise imo. I think an aggressive anti-cheat like what Valorant has would be very worth it, especially since the amount of cheaters in that game is almost non-existent, despite being very easy to just get a new account and game due to it being literally free. Anyone else think that an aggressive anti-cheat would be worth it or at least separate servers dedicated to those with an aggressive anti-cheat and servers dedicated to those who don't want to bc of security speculations about that kind of software?

"aggressive" anticheat means invasive stand-alone anticheat. Which implies

  1. They have to make their own anticheat. And thats really not that easy and will take a lot of time. Very probable that it is just not possible for them if they do not have required expertise.
  2. It will be very invasive in the same way as Valorant anticheat is invasive. It will track all of your processes and have a huge degree of freedom. There's been plenty of outrage on Riot's anticheat. Now imagine THAT, add absolutely insane and toxic Tarkov's playerbase, add the fact that BSG is a Russian company. There will be claims that it is "Kremlin spyware" or whatever else FOR SURE. This will never be welcomed even if it will solve the issue of cheaters, which is unlikely.

They have Battle eye, they just don't use it the same way other games who have it use it. They only supplement it in as a stop gap for their own personal built systems. Whereas other games that use battle eye, primarily use battleeye, and only supplement in their own systems when absolutely needed because battleeye isn't working or something. Also tarkov has literally no server encryption, whereas almost every other major multi-player game out there with server based match making have encryption. That's one of the main reasons it's so easy to cheat in tarkov and why there are like 5 different programs you can use, whereas in other games using the same anti cheat, it's next to impossible to have undetected cheats because they encrypt their servers and don't trust everything client side.

I honestly wish I knew. In my opinion based off what I know about running servers, it was cheaper and easier for them to supplement an anti cheat rather than depend on one, and just automatically set their systems to trust all files on your computer when you log in. It's why battleeye doesn't work unless the person is steaming and hacking, is reported, or is doing it for long enough to run into a dev

This is because tarkov doesn't run anti cheat in its launcher and scan your files when you run the game. It only runs the anti cheat when you report or when you're in raid and it only activates under very specific requirements

The current state of the game in relation to cheaters is by far the worst so far that I've seen. And it's evidently bad given that a streamer basically sacrificed their own channel with tarkov to expose how bad the issue is. And yes exactly kaurthus. It has killed the casual base to the point where it's only the incels and basement dwellers who think grass is orange, as te the only ones playing.

Lol BSG promised they'd use battleye when they bought the contract. They still only use it as supplement. Honestly at this point I don't think they care about making a great game like they used to claim. From being a slight casual, the servers have improved over the wipe, much less desync from the beginning and from other wipes. The audio is horrendous, I hear a crazy amount of shit I really shouldn't be, scavs haven't been aimbotty (towards me, my teammates have been unlucky sometimes), the amount of cheaters suck
