@lofty osprey when they get full steam audio into the game maybe it will be fixed so far sound distance, depths and overall volume of some sounds needs complete rework. Since last patch its sometimes better for example to position gunshots ( at least fort me) but still enemy positioning in buildings sucks.. sorry you shouldn't be able to hear someone in cellar when you are on 3rd floor or if you move between building and outside, sounds completely change if you past doorway (even in ruins!!! where there is plenty of open/broken doors/windows.) ... so this actually concerns me about new map coming as there will be lots of apartments and high buildings you can enter, and just sit and camp and wait someone is moving below on streets...

So I just had another run in which I could see others move, and interact with things and yet my movement and my shots weren't registered. Guy ran right past me and didn't get any damage from my shots, then ran towards my spawn position where he porbably heard my shots from, put one bullet into my spawn position and I died 20 metres away.

I dont know if this is the place e but here goes.

I bought the game back in 2017 I think and as a lot of people liked the idea of what was trying to be accomplished, however played a few and put it back down because the gear fear was real.
The learning curve was brutal and understanding some of the mechanics as well as learning maps, nodding, ammo sets/damage etc was overwhelming so back on c drive it stayed and didnt boot up again.
(I know a few who have done this because of said reasons)

I got back into it because I started watching general sam and thought I'd give it ago again but this time join the discord to try and find people to play with and haven't put it down since.

This has got me to think of simple way of implementing new systems to try and improve the experience of new players to keep them playing and enjoying it, I will put my list below and hopefully have a decent reception to them.

Firstly I think there should be a match making system for lvl 1-10 players, to group these low level players together so that people can get to know the game. When these players die i dont think there gear should be bootable until they reach past lvl 10, obviously they can loot items in the game but not other dead players so they can get used to the mechanics of the game and the gear they will have will be of low value anyway.

As people loot things and safely extract vendors should pop up with messages suggesting the filter item button to give people an idea of what items to loot based on value and then players can learn the economy of the game, as when I started and probably many others I didnt have a clue about what was valuable and what wasnt.

This could be done also for nodding guns, ammo types etc. More to come character restriction lol.

@smoky grotto there is a different from a game being hard to near impossible with a lvl 1 player meeting a fully geared lvl40, the game is supposed to be hard but also fun I'd argue getting killed just out of spawn because people know the game/spawns have the gear isnt fun matching those new players and allowing the loot world items gives people a chance to get to know the game before having to deal with all the heavily geared players

You are talking like someone that just hasn't played the game enough. You have to play more, plain and simple. To get better at this game is learning the struggles that we all went through. I started playing in feb of this year so 5 months into the wipe. We are 3 weeks into this one and now I am level 38, higher then I got in last wipe because I learned how to play the game. @lavish mason usually for gaming anything above an i7 or r7 it isnt "worth it." as the price to performance starts falling off pretty hard. it also depends on what youre upgrading from and the rest of your system specs

Well that's the thing though, the development timeline of Tarkov is a little bit fucky due to both internal and external reasons so in comparison to most modern EA games it seems slow, ridged, and almost wasteful to outside observers.

So users frustration is understandable, there being a clear language barrier doesn't help matters either.

Ahh, yeah aside from the usual farming and or flea market prices can tend to be inflated when people know that you need them. You could try to do a value trade that way a player that wants to keep their money but still wants something you have can have the option to get what ever you offer.

when you search for it on the flea market it will tell you which vendor and what requirement of rank you need for that vendor to buy the item and for it to be unlocked to you.
