it's bunk; last year you could at least skirt the event if you were new and avoid the heat and keep progressing on quests, etc. You can do exactly NOTHING else but swat zombies until RNGeezus sends you back to hideout via head, nape 9mm PSO.

Don't get discouraged, though; the event will pass -- I don't care about the rubles as much as the gameplay/the time -- would peel off a 100 million rubles from my stash right now to get even one rotating map that was zombie-free because it's just a completely different game. It's a meme and not fun; even a little bit. The zombie mechanics are just that bad. I cannot imagine what the potato-pc enjoyers are dealing with.

the zombies are the best and the worst aspects of bsg.

at face value, its an event that is for everyone at every level, it shook up the economy and made useless things useful, it completely changed the game play, and the quests are relatively accessible. They even added new areas for us to explore. And for a little while, we even saw random groups cooperating with in game voip. Once you get the hang of things, it is fun

but as usual the game runs like it was written by a high schooler and this event exacerbated the issue, bad fps and teleporting zombies are just awful, the animations for the zombies even when they are not lagging are stiff and instantons rather than fluid and natural, the event heavily disincentives solo play, the zombies also highlighted the unrealistic omniscience of the ai (always knows where you are, B lines to you with no sight or sounds), whoever's idea it was to give the zombies gun and give them high headshot accuracy (or any headshot accuracy at all) does not understand the industry, the event has made some quests legitimately impossible such as killing scav bosses.

The positives of the event are commendable but the negatives are just a constant reminder that this game will never run well, and that pushing code with known bugs and issues is just the status quo for bsg, but at this point im used to the abuse and im having fun with the event
