Yes Wipes are 2x a year, Although with 1.0 dropping this Saturday you will have the ability to have a perminate PVP and PVE PMC profile. Later on there will be the addition for a PMC you can choose that will wipe 2x a year. Gun wise i'm not sure what you're asking but for guns to look for anything chambered in a good caliber is a good start. For Ammo you can check all the stats of an ammo if youre not sure although there are TONS of different types. I can give you a few good ones to look out for but I recommend looking at an ammo chart to learn the best 3 types for each caliber those are the ones to keep.

I have found a bug within the game which will not let me progress further which is frustating as i want to play 24/7 lol. I handed the 2 guns into Mechanic for the falling skies quest which after this gave me a backend error and did not give me the quest or unlock prapor. I later went into woods with my friend through transit from factory as i havent unlocked woods either to see if this would fix which it gave me quest but still am stuck with prapor locked. Please can you take some time to correct my account by doing what would be needed to correct the bug as i want to stream this asap to my community.

Doesn't seem like it. All other things (chat, movement, score, etc.) is updating in real time. Only damage from bullets. Haven't ever seen this in my 5 wipes of playing.
