Zapwag I suggest checking out some newbie guides on youtube and starting an OFFLINE factory map. It's the smallest map you can get used to the controls and not risk anything. Crank up AI difficulty as you get more comfortable.

Use your scav kits on PMCs .. free, won't cost a thing. In order to not get marked for death (insta aggro from scavs) I think at minimum you need armor, rig, and a gun.
Take your scav into factory and immediately extract. Once you learn the extracts takes 60 seconds max.

try learn customs first its a pretty simple map in that you spawn one end and run to the other, it has good landmarks to figure out where you are and alot of your first quests will be there
