yea, that is actually modeled quite well, every bullet hitting your plate will probably hurt and shock you but good body armor can stop a whole lot of non armor piercing rounds

Night shoreline is soooooo boring
1st night time I went there I killed 2 juicers (one of them had quads on fast mt, with ears, jaws protection and slaap plate which was kinda cool), I forgot keys so we went to extract. Some guystarted chasing us in pitch black night with no nvgs. He shot my teammates legs so we stopped for a sec, then he threw 2 perfect grenades on us, 1 hit me but didn't kill me, my teammate died. Then he pushed me with DB AP-20 and head eyesed me. Pretty sure it was a cheater.
After that I played like 20 night shoreline, I didn't even see anyone. I found cultists fighting sanitar tho.
So
