Doing stash runs at night is very safe. You could do that while you learn the map

Yea outskirts can be a bit rough to reach. The easiest way to get there is to go around the back of the scav house, that path is (mostly) shielded from scavs and players and you have a minefield on the western side

As for the bridge extract: keep in mind you dont have to wait the full 60 seconds AT the extract
You can hit the car, start the timer and chill down below. The only thing that matters is being in the extract zone as the timer expires

Positioning is everything. In combat, frequently reposition.
Pick your fights, don't be afraid to retreat - it often gives you a better chance to hit back later.
Only right hand peak if you have a choice.
Hipfire is exceptional, get a good feel for it in offline mode and you'll thank yourself later.
Ammo is more important than guns, but you need to know how to use what ammo you have. High damage vs High penetration is a critical difference - use an ammo chart.
Map knowledge is vital, learn them well.
Money is very easy to make. If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing. Scavving can only make you money, you can't lose anything. Offline is great for learning maps and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses. This cycle is great to simply build up lots of money quickly while learning - which makes PMCing far easier.
Pay attention to your scav karma.
Stop hoarding things. It results in far too much time spent managing your inventory.
Pay attention to your hideout - it's good.
Food spawn in Interchange.
VOIP is crazy powerful, but people can sense when you're lying. Help people, they'll help you - it does pay off.
Learn from every death, there's almost always a lesson.
Most importantly, have fun with it - don't be afraid to take a break if it's frustrating you too much.

I feel like I'm dying to sniper scavs a lot, especially given I don't lose raids to regular scavs anymore unless already extremely injured.
Is there something I'm missing, I guess is what I'm asking. Peeking less, repositiong more, idk. I know regular scavs can't shoot straight when you shoot at them but that doesn't seem to work on snipers. Or maybe my aim sucks more than I think it does idk.

possibly a matter of not waiting long enough between peeks, their aim is like a circle decreasing in size as long as they see you, when you dissapear, that circle will remain that size for 5-10 seconds at your last spotted position before reseting
sniper aim is cracked though, they are painful enemies
repositioning and waiting is key
if you can't kill them with your first shot and they have shot once or twice, wait 15 seconds in cover

Basically, your accuracy is the amount each shot varies. I can't remember the exact measurements, but higher MOA means your bullets go farther from where it's aimed. Recoil is how much the gun jumps with each shot
So if you had a 0 recoil gun but a high moa, you still wouldn't be guaranteed to hit center of the target every shot

I think it's a spray pattern thing? Or maybe ergo. I'm no expert on tarkov modding, but your Ergo makes using the gun easier, and spray pattern is super important too. High recoil isn't as bad if the spray pattern is small enough
