Scrolling through the last 15 minutes of chat, I strongly recommend folks learn a basic bitch PMC run and substitute that for your scav runs. Some stash run or loot run with an easy extract that you really like with an SKS, KEDR, Shotgun, or other super basic weapon. No armor, maybe a paca. No helmet. So you can loot upgrades

pros -- even if you die, the XP and operator skills apply to your PMC. You can guarantee a backpack and have your pouch. If you die, there is no timer.
cons -- if you die, you have to heal and your kit isn't 100% free
