You see "mountain stash" in the middle of the map. That's the giant sniper rock which you can see from almost all spawns as long as you walk around a bit. If you see it then you know where the middle of the map is. You can then walk over to that rock, and make yourself familiar with the giant rock. Once you've done that you can from there figure out how to move towards where ever you want to go.

So you spawn in, find the big rock, go over to the big rock, and figure out what direction you're supposed to walk in.
