Im not technically a beginner but Im a beginner at LH since this is my first wipe with that map and I just tried learning it by doing the quest from peacekeeper where I have to mark 4 tanks/bmps. So the two along the road are fine but as a solo bear, idk how you do the western 2 inside that base? I feel that pain, I'd say remember that Scavs are on the map and will help you, you just gotta find them, and they spawn in specific spots, maybe pop that on your maps. Also for me if they aren't even trying to use any cover, loot, crouch or lean, that's a scav, then again im new af so idk how "smart" they are in all circumstances. I tend to hug cover no matter where I am, which gives me away as a scav, also never seen one go prone while just out and about

there are few components to pvp, map knowledge is a big thing, you have to understand where the enemy can be, how to approach them, what are his escape routes, how to flank them, etc..

handling the gun is another thing

but mainly you need to realize that with such short time-to-kill in tarkov, the one with initiative usually wins the fight, so being able to hear is the most important factor, and almost always youll be able to hear an enemy before you see him

Only there is cover. I usually just slow walk and try to minimize noise and visual profile when possible to without slowing down, especially when I either expect or don't know if there are people who are peering into the area (eg. hotspots like Dorms). I don't crouch unless I have to, and I don't know when to run (aside from getting out of open space) because obviously running the whole raid is how one gets domed or legged out of nowhere
