For most guns the ammo speeds are similar-ish from the default to the popular ones, but for 9mm the higher pen ammo is much faster than the default so your sight will be off by quite a bit

If you're running low level gear yea for sure insure everything. Insurance at low levels is cheaper and your stuff is likely not that good so will have good odds to be left in raid

I usually look at how likely my stuff is to get picked up (PvP heavy maps, lots of playerscavs) and if I am running with a group who can potentially fraud my shit if I die. When I solo I basically never insure my weapon unless I'm roguefarming.

Have a look on which servers you have selected and select all with lower than 150 ping else you'll get disconnected

So the easy way to do this is to break an arm, don't heal it and go factory. Pop painkillers and wait in your spawn until tremor goes in then just spray for heads with SMG or try your lucky with magnum buck

There isn't a better or worse one in general. Both body armor and armored rigs are fine to run, one type isn't better than the other. It's more about the specific body armor or rig you're running.
There are a few interactions with extracts where you can only extract without body armor but that's fairly minor.

even actually helped a friend do his too, max karma gamer over here spawns with a stim like every 3rd scav raid.

It helps learning where other PMC's might spawn so that you can be cautioness to those directions straight from the beginning of raid. It also helps to move a bit to cover or a better position depending on what spawn you get, so that you don't get pushed in straight away, as other PMC definetly do know the spawns and tend to push them out.
