Yea they're not very wide is the main problem. You can barter for thicc weapon cases, they're 1 slot wider

Take off silencers if you're trying to fit in a regular case

I have 1 weapon case for mods, I chuck all silencers in there of weapons that are 7 squares or longer

They just spawn with snipers or AK's with scopes

If you're lucky you can loot an SVD with PS ammo off them
