No I don't gamble. But someone sniping from dome is a free kill in my eyes. They are literally laid down or sat still, they have to check 1000 angles and can't return fire immediately, I know the ranges from every angle towards dome... They don't even know where they got shot from when they die. Worst case scenario I miss my first (and followup) shot and they will run and can't snipe from dome anymore so threat eliminated.

I usually just kill scavs around old construction and at some point go to bunk-cabin place (whatever it's name) and start to look into dorms direction, if I don't see movement or doors changing from closed/open/etc I'll go there at some point

Yeah ^ generally that's best, use your ears and eyes in proximity of dorms and make a good assumption on wheter you think players could be there still or are most likely gone already.

and then check for noise inside, in dorms you can hear and interpret the whole building almost, it's very easy to gauge if a player is inside

Oh and don't just RUSH inside towards your door, wait and use hearing first.

this! there's plenty of windows to jump inside (on both buildings) that sort of save you from getting mowed down once you enter a corridor through one of the main doors

you can always chicken out and jump back out if you hear a bunch of footsteps running around, although as @orchid salmon said, landing inside makes a distinct noise and players with map knowledge will certainly know exactly where you are

I've been repositioning/flank fighting more often this wipe in Dorms as a solo, can't really nade push in any situation anymore since it takes so long to grab a nade and throw it out. Any good player will counter that as soon as they hear the pin / grabbing grenade sound.

Yes the gun won't fail every time just for being under 93. Its just that the chance exists. You may fire a thousand rounds without issue and then malfunction on the first bullet of an engagement on a live raid. Or not. Having it over 93 completely eliminates any chances that's all.

Scopes are zeroed for 1 ammo type per caliber. Look up which it is and if your type differs a lot in speed adjust accordingly.
E.g. 9mm is calibrated on PSO. PBP is like twice as fast so the bullets will hit high
