Learn maps by doing offline mode no pve. Once you're confident u know a map or two enable pve. You'll learn where all the npcs spawn. Once you've got that down run factory to work on your gunplay. After that learn looting routes on maps you know. After that... all up to you.

Do scav to get loot, do pmc to get experience (quests or killing scavs).

Ur hideout is important so prioritize sports bags and toolboxes.

Once u have 1.1m RUB talk to therapist and get ur scav junk box. U can store all the single item mechanical and misc items in it saving u lots of space in ur stash.

Load ur mags with ammo and store them in tactical rigs to also save space in stash until u get stash lvl 2 in hideout.

Backpacks can fit in backpacks.

And finally take advantage of the sorting table.

In general there are a few break points that matter a lot for damage and penetration. Over 40 pen is to pass through level 4 armor consistently and the other is 36/86 damage to one tap head eyes or thorax

If you look at the chart you can see that it’s a crazy s curve. Even a few points of pen from 37-42 make a huge difference in consistency for the first hit
