So I looted a few prebuilt guns as a scav, the mk47 and the MDR, they both seem pretty good the MDR is flawless with the recoil. is there a certain way to build these to make them more effiecent or do these look good enoughj ?

they all can be boosted. 556 generally gets the best recoil with a suppressor. the mk47 can get a better barrel. all three wouldnt suffer from better foregrips. M4 you can change most parts and boost it quite significantly

mk47 is probably the closest to its best of all 3

not that you'll be able to make improvements to them at your current level

Then MDR is pretty good but the mutant is very high in recoil keep them till you can get flea market and make them have less recoil

i can only make improvements thru what parts i find in raids, just been upgrading them slowly as I go, next question though. so i have the hhs1 scope and i can switch between the reflex and the acog but the hamR scope on the m4 has the same, it has a reflex with an acog but it wont let me switch, it says its a hybrid, am i doing something wrong as to why it wont switch between sights ?

So for the HAMR you have to put a specific sight in the little metal piece

On the top then you can switch back and forth on the sights but for now don’t use the HAMR to much

The MDR is pretty much good to go. I wouldn't run the MK47 like that, it'll probably bounce way too much to get good sprays out of so you'll be shooting single bullets which is kind of a waste of a mutant

I don't think theres a lot of improving to do on the M4 either at your level

Most people on labs hit keycard rooms (black, green are very popular, violet, red, yellow aren't bad either). Also people farm raiders quite a bit especially in early wipe. They will spawn naturally but also when you hit the switches for the lab exfils (e.g. the power switches in the basement or the lever to raise the garage door)

can someone explain the use of helmets because a shot has only ricocheted of my head once and every other time I have died even with level 4 head armor

depends on the ammo your opp is using

it wont ricochet if the ammo just pens

It’s all about chance the helmets are worth it they protect against all pistols and shotguns but not many helmets cover helmets so don’t expect to be invincible

generally most ammo pens up to tier 3
