Search up eft map and you will find a link to mapgenie.io, it has rlly good maps of most locations in tarkov, almost all loot locations, scav spawns, boss spawns, stash locations, pmc spawns, and all extracts, I would also recommend going into a offline raid and locate most pmc extracts

Ammo is what you need to keep in mind. A good starting ammo can pen level 4 armor and is cheap. Perfect example is the 7.62x39 PS and 5.45x39 BP

FMJ is pretty good in my opinion at least as a level 1 trader option. Sure you won’t pen armor, but UMP-45 is reliable enough for face shots and the FMJ flesh damage is high enough for leg meta in a pinch.

Not sure if it’s outclassed by MP5 with Pst Gzh though… maybe I’m just biased to liking the UMP
