Idk how much it's to therapist and on flea, but check in like, 7-8 hours and then decide

Because other class 5 armors (redut, killa, gen4) have twice effective durability.
It's decent budget armor, and it might be sufficient if you're playing 5 man and hiding in the back of the group, not expecting to be shot more than once per raid.

for one quick encounter - no, because korund will block first shot more effectively, but once the durability drop the effectiveness will as well and it will become class 4, class 3, and in the end class 0 armor..
but if you're playing solo, or even if you're playing in a group but you play aggressively, an avs or tv110 will be more consistent and last you longer

it's important to understand that when you look at penetration charts (like tarkov-ballistics.com) and you see that 855A1 has 16% chance to penetrate class 5 armor it only applies to an armor with 100%/100% durability.
Once the armor get damaged it's effectiveness drops. Even if you repair it after the raid, let's say 70%/70% it's no longer the class 5 from charts. I don't know exact math on that, but you can assume that at this point it's effectively level 4.

Now if we assume (again, just an estimation), that the armor level drops by one at around 75% of original durability then armors like AVS or TV110 will maintain their effectiveness longer than something like Korund with 45 max durability points.
