helets are good if you just happen to have looted them or something, for most close range maps if you are going budget its not worth spanding the roubles on it, a lvl 4 helmet will save you from time to time but its expensive and you'll get face taped most likely anyway so kinda no point

So at ranges further the damage lowers now too so technically you are right it should kill either way

The spread damage doesn't go to an already blacked limb, so first leg spreads 200, 2nd leg sucks up some damage and spreads but doesn't reach the other leg so the body takes more damage
That's how a rip in each leg leaves you with 7 health
