i think the AKM and the AK-74n currently are pretty good to use, ADAR/m4 is always nice since the adar is justt technically a single fire only M4, both MDRs are nice to use as well but i would recommend starting with the AKs and maybe try this and see how much it costs

And its gonna be bornig and tedious but check most items on the wiki if you need them for a quest one by one or if you wanna keep some for barters, crafts or hideout upgrades. took me some time but i learnt them this way

Helmets lvl 3 and below are basically just ricochet chances. Using T4 and above without a face shield is just a better chance with some blunt force stoppage. I don’t recommend buying helmets though. Wearing T5 with a face shield can really save you from headshots and they’re quite strong, also expensive.
