ammo is honestly more important than the gun in this game. it decides your damage and what armor you can beat.

Try to run some scav runs, learn the worth of items you pick up, do that couple of times and youll get where you want to be with your money alternatively there are some scav loot runs on yt that can help you get like a mill per run or something

You need to be understanding what will people take from you if you die.
For example, i always run meta guns that i never insure because its a 99% guarantee that the gun will get yoinked if i die. If i trust in my duo partner that he can kill the lobby, i might insure it so he can throw it somewhere, where nobody else will find it.
