Vepr-KM is my go-to before I can reliably purchase more interesting weapons. 7.62x39 PS hits hard even thru basic body armor and has decent range capabilities. You'd probably have trouble past 150m or so, but up to there, you've got a solid round that goes in one of the most versatile platforms in the game.

Woods is brutal in the start!, outskirts is like almost always your only option in the start it seems. Unless you have a zb14 key or find a friendly scav for the factory exit

SW of rock is scav house
S of rock is sawmill
SE of rock is Emercom camp
E of rock is that radio shack town whatever lol
NE of rock is car extract town
N of rock is sunken town
