Hey guys so i am a little confused about how armor durability and its classes work, let say for a THOR armor which is class 4 and has 35 durability can a .45 FMJ take the durability down to 0?

1. any round will take an armor durability to 0, the question is: how many rounds it'll take to kill a guy? .45 FMJ has 25 pen, so it'll take a while

2. armor durability is just a percentage of chance for the armor to stop the bullet instead of letting it through to your body (only blunt damage will occur, and the armor will be a bit destroyed, which lowers the probability it'll catch the next round)

(2 pen) against your THOR armor. As the rounds get better, they'll have a better chance to pen, until you get to rounds >40 pen, which will go through your armor like butter

40/50 = 80% chance of stopping trash bullets etc

until 0/50 = you'd better be naked at least you'll run faster

tbh don't focus so much on durability part, as long as you understand that having a 40/50 armor means your armor has 1 chance out of 5 to let through a bullet, that's enough

what really matters is penetration

it's the only stat that predicts if you'll have to magdump against a guy

and obviously, ammo with higher penetration tends to wreck completely armor's durability, since it's basically making big holes in it
