Use the interactive map, disable everything but player spawns and extracts. Thats kind of how i learnt where everything was. I would look for where i thought i spawned then i could see the landmarks and extracts relative to that

on woods there's a giant mountain in the distance that isnt part of the map you can access but always remains true north. people usually guess their location using that and nearby landmarks. use a map if you arent already

I usually have a map pulled up on a second monitor. I try to look for water as well or a road. If you find the big lake you can kinda figure out where you are or if there are multiple small lakes just match up the shapes.

It gives a massive advantage in terms of convenience, but almost no in-raid advantage. It does allow one to get to later trader levels earlier, in order to use better weapons earlier, which is an advantage. But it's not P2W in the traditional sense, I would describe it far more as a "pay for convenience" system. Advantageous overall, but not in individual PvP encounters. A player with EOD will not beat a player with standard if the standard player is more skilled. ergo, not pay to win
