yeah you basically only have 2 really decent guns aavailable to you, sks or vpo-136, they both fire same rounds but sks is a toploaded "dmr" (pluses : cheaper t han vpo, dont need a rig to carry the mags since you just topload it), and the vepr vpo-136 is a civilian semi-automatic AK that you can get 30 round mags for, but its more expensive as a gun and you also need a rig for the mags.

you cant put one on unless you have one of the fancy rails that you dont have access to straight away, but if you do the introduction task that is very early on for mechanic, its gonna unlock a new trader - jaeger, and he sells a hunting version of the sks called the OP-SKS. Taht has a dovetail mount you can attach a PSO 4x scope or a collimator sight to, both are sold by prapor LL1.

its not gear fear, its about playing for skill. using good gear just makes the game too easy to learn, it doesnt punish your mistakes. the chad way to play is with sks and paca.
