If I plan to use it to upgrade my hideout, do a craft, a barter, or use it for a quest I keep it. If I'm going to use it I keep it. If I plan on playing the market and keeping the item while the price rises I keep it. Otherwise I sell it.

typically how scavs work is there is a 10 minute, sometimes shorter window, then they start spawning in

there is a cap on how many can be around at one time and one may enter when one dies (ive witnessed it)

beyond that if there is no queue scav players will spawn in waves that you can learn

on reserve its 38 35 32 28 for example

38 being when its extremely high population

and then they keep spawning until all the PMCs have extracted.

when you do scav runs notice what time you spawn in and youll see the patterns

If you dont wanna spend time between raids, dump all your loot to traders quickly and make some weapon presets to build your guns fast. favourite items on the fleamarket to quickly buy them

there isnt one. learning the game is a part of every game out rn. you have to put in hours at the start of any competitive or skill based game to learn how it works. Valorant for example, takes hours of aim labs and death matches to even touch gold, let alone higher elos. Tarkov happens to be far more skill intensive than most other games. Hence the only way to get to that stage would be to put in the hours first

Rotate between doing scav runs and PMC runs, I pretty much always use my scav if it's not on cooldown and if it is I either sell stuff or try to do a quest

It’s totally fine running bad kits until you get comfortable I’d say. Eventually, figure out a consistent money run you can do when needed (for me I run Woods and go USEC camps and stashes) so that you’re never afraid of going broke. You’ll eventually come to find money is easy to come by when you survive even only a small percentage of raids, and you won’t need to worry over lost loot because you just won’t care.

I find running better kits saves me money in the long run though.

yeah no, you almost always want to sprint till halfway or quarter way down and then stop to regain

if you're a USEC they'll give you a warning to fuck off, and if you enter their compounds expect hostile reactions

You can loot like the areas around entry points of the water treatment plant area as a scav safely, unless you get too close to one of the rogues - if you walk inside the buildings they'll give you a warning and shoot you if you don't leave
