Different night vision is going to have different levels of quality. Those look like the PNV-10T which are going to be pretty grainy. The vid you saw might have been GPNVG or Armasight N-15 which are much clearer

Yeah no makes sense is a valid question. Honestly had the most success having people take in a bolt action with no magazine and force them to topload one round per shot. Makes them slow the fuck down and wait for a good shot. Otherwise people start shooting at bad shots and blow a ton of ammo. Miss the headshots and scare the people away.
