they just need to add 100 new, well balanced barters and remove the flea for PVP items

Hey all, looking for some advice. I've ben playing EFT for a couple wipes and things are starting to click now. I'm getting that survival rate up, getting more quests done, that sort of thing. Right now my issue is I'm doing the Punisher questline and I absolutely suck at hunting down PMCs. Maybe it is my inner rat, but I'm just not that great at it.
It could be that lately I've been doing a lot of night raids to finish quests and its been wildly successful. However, with a night raid on Shoreline, you aren't bumping into a lot of PMCs unless you go right to Resort. I feel like when I head there during the day I get too ambitious, move too much, and get shot in the face.
I suppose I am also hesitant to 'chase the sounds of gunfire'. I have done that a couple times with success. Again, I don't want to go running toward where I think gunshots are, trip over some scavs, and get shot.
How do you hunt PMCs? Do you camp? Run to gunfire? Have a favorite 'spot' to wait in?

You’re thinking to much into it, the goal on almost any map to get kills is to be the first to a hotspot and kill the people in there in this case the hotspot would be the resort on shoreline

I kinda like woods. For me, its a chill map. Hook around to the radio tower, sunken village, and suburb. Peg some scavs, grab some easy loot, hop in the car, and get out.

Don't forget weapons in this game have MOA inaccuracy (degrees of angle which the bullet can miss by) as well as muzzle velocity. If you're using a pistol with perfect crosshair placement and not hitting shots, you might be outside of the pistols effective range.
