Sprinting only gives you away and forces you without a weapon for a good few seconds.

Nah.... I love sitting in places that SHOULD be obvious - because people tend to not look there as much. And when they do.. and they shoot. I'm so far away, that they tend to ALWAYS miss. But.. once they shoot, I know where they are. So I reposition and hunt them down.
