Most common ways i have found this wipe have been filing cabinets or crafting, it seems there spawn chances in PC's has been heavily reduced so your best bet now is filing cabinets or maybe safes if you can get to them

Scav karma is weird, it didnt seem to effect gear until you get really low karma or really high karma

The only thing that seems to be effected until high numbers is the cooldown
