@violet ferry this happened before to me, but luckily I didn't die. Was shooting with Pst gzh and the scav had class 4 armor, and because I'm dump I put all my shots in his thorax. Best thing is to take your time, change where you peek (that shack had 2 entrances) and aim for the head instead. There's some time before scavs warn you and shoot, try to take this time and plan your headshot as scavs don't move much when they spot and WARN you for the first time, they just stop and start aiming at you. In rare cases they'll attempt to shoot while moving but their aim is terrible.

most helmets arent going to save you from PVP ammo

The beauty of the pp19 though is you can make somewhere in the realm of a 40 recoil weapon from lvl 2 traders only for less than 50k. So long as you can remember to hit legs and not snap to the chest like everyone does by instinct doesn’t matter if there are in a slick and an Alton. They die in less than a quarter second
