I have an issue with keeping stuff too (even irl), but I've especially learned this wipe that it's not bad to sell stuff to the traders, since you need to get X amount of money spent/bought with them as a prerequisite for leveling up your standing with them. Wiki has a few images that supposedly include everything you should keep, if you want to check... but I get overwhelmed looking at it, so usually I just manually google something to see if I can sell it

don't play on coastal servers for tarkov because hackers use east/west coast servers for better ping because they are usually from china/russia.
stay off of labs for the first 2 months after a wipe because early wipe is when people pay for carries
and central US servers are probably the cleanest of the bunch

You can hide in your spawn room and wait for the action to die down, there is a couple of spawns around it and if your lucky you will be only one to spawn there
