woods is harder to navigate when you don't know it. it's literally a "where the hell am I" kind of a situation since there are very little landmarks for you to orient yourself with
compared to literally every other map
but when you learn woods I think it's a lot safer than any other map since compared to say customs there are 0 choke points and if you want to safely traverse the map and not meet a single soul you can

scav karma isn't about making sure scavs don't shoot each other. it's about giving scavs incenitives to think twice. making people think "is this guy's drip worth more than my penalties?" is what it does. if you're feeling frustrated at getting betrayed then you're treating it wrong

make sure the mags are discovered and the ammo inside them is compatible with your gun.
can't put .366TKM ammo into an AK and 7.62 into a VPO-209 and such even though they fit the same mag. same thing with PMM ammo and Kedr/Kedr-B
